Saw the Chameleons not long after the Smiths in 83. Second skin was a performance I won`t forget as long as I live and I wasn`t and still not a big fan.

Songs of 2013:
Kanye West - 'Blood On The Leaves' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DmRzIsEAQGs Spotify: http://open.spotify.com/track/1HK6gMHUJyIhaNGmM46wvq A toss-up between this and the Glitter-band 70s style 'Black Skinhead', but the daring sampling of 'Strange Fruit' juxtaposed with stories of loose-style relationships, is a unique effort. [Extreme Language] |

Songs Of 2014 (That Deserve A Recommendation)
Poppydog. Poppydog. 14 Dec 14 19:41 Joined: 07 Sep 01 | Topic/replies: 13,356 | Blogger: Poppydog.'s blog 1/ Future Islands - 'Seasons (Waiting On You) [Electro/Synth Pop] My personal favourite, especially after the now semi-legendary performance on Letterman. Watch: http://youtu.be/1Ee4bfu_t3c (Original Video: http://youtu.be/-5Ae-LhMIG0 ) Heavily influenced by 80s UK synth groups (they're on 4AD Records!?) and a soulful, but theatrical vocal (A-Ha!?) 2/ The War On Drugs - 'Red Eyes' [Indie Rock] http://youtu.be/1LmX5c7HoUw First single from the critically acclaimed (slow-burner) album. Galloping road anthem, reminiscent of Tom Petty - great guitar. -------------------------------- More to follow - other choices welcome report block user | switch to live view refresh Page detail:CollapseExpand post reply sort by: Show per page Replies: 17 Poppydog. A pleasing, confrontational (and funny) rant. Glorious though it is 'Inspector Norse' (with an 'N') is from the Olympic Summer of 2012. It does feature on this year's album ('It's Album Time') along with some of his older tunes. Nevertheless..... 7/ Todd Terje - 'DeLorean Dynamite' [Electronic, Space Disco] http://youtu.be/f9tDuNfUi4o 2014 7-minute epic with a driving Miami-Vice bassline, along with space-age flourishes from the severely talented Norweigan DJ/Producer.
