Lucinda Williams - 'Are You Alright?' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6SuBacPDvc Stunning voice mourning lost love, that seems to get better with each record. And even though she's been around 30 years, this years 'West' is one of her best albums. |
|
By:
Poppy, have you checked out any of Feist's other stuff? That iPod advert made me download 2 albums of her's.
She's fantastic; nice tunes, great voice and incredibly hot for good measure. I love her dancing in this video... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lqVKOilZO2A |

I love the song, Robin. I'm sure there's a huge Steely Dan influence in there.
Never seen the video before though. Cheers. |

Bright Eyes - 'Four Winds' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XaV-nGQ5yqw Great lyrics concerning the clash of religions and the forthcoming end of the world, which seems even more relevant with regard to events in the past week |

The Good, The Bad & The Queen - 'Green Fields' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u-NbkArcC_c Stunning nostalgic ballad from Damon live on J.Ross. Ex-Clash member, Paul Simonon looking cool on bass. If only Noel's songwriting had progressed like this |

PD, you may like this one that Lupas put up a few months ago. It's by 'Taranta-Babu':
Lupas 20 Dec 02:16 OK - another forum success, although the track doesn't appear to have a title as such. Taranta-Babu it is, seemingly part of a new soundtrack they recorded for a recent re-release of what was originally a 1927 'silent musical', the La Revue Des Revues of the clip's title...simple really! http://www.youtube.com/watch?gl=GB&hl=en-GB&v=eVM8IJoYwMs&feature=related |
|
By:
This is another track put up by Lupas recently which I think is excellent.

Big Charlie,
Didn't you have computer troubles with Spotify, when I introduced the thread earlier this year? |
|
By:
I certainly did Poppy.
I was doing something wrong. It was a simple error, can't remember what it was, but it's okay now. |
