Typical, I'm working this week.

I hope you're back for the Calzaghe fight on ITV1 Saturday night.
Mind you, they are fighting at about 2am to accommodate the American audience for that one. Idon't suppose that's done Joe much good in his training preparation. |
By:
Should be home well in time for that fight, Tommy, if I can stay awake.
By:
Yes, it's a late fight time. But hopefully, it will be worth staying awake for.

This is a very good welterweight fight between Diaz and Jordan in the USA.
By:
That was a very good programme.
Diaz got a TKO in the fifth. Even though he was shorter than Jordan by 4 inches, he worked him well to the body and overcame Jordan's reach advantage. Jordan didn't think the ref should have stopped the contest, even though Diaz had just floored him in the 5th and was battering him, so that his head looked like it was on an elastic band. Perhaps that will teach Jordan not to come into the ring in a spiderman mask and make himself look like an idiot before the off. The undercard on the bill was a Junior welterweight contest over 4 rounds between Patterson and Rudolph. Again, it was a closely contested contest, with Patterson winning by a majority verdict. It looked like a draw, to me. |

It's on now.

By:
The Gail Platt/Eileen fight was quality
By:
It was a decent programme to watch, as there were some cracking knockout punches.
It's on again at 2.30am next Saturday morning. |
By:
101 Greatest knockouts, that is.

Mark Hobson is putting up a very good display against Maccarinelli at the moment.
By:
What a great fight that was.
Both of them deserve the applause they received at the end. Well done Maccarinelli and well done Hobson. |
By:

Great start by Joe in the first round.
By:
What a superb performance by Calzaghe.
Lacy was comletely out- boxed and out-classed from start to finish. |

E's are good e's are good

By:
To be honest, I thought Cal. would take a hiding.
But he did very well. Didn`t allow the yank to get out of first gear. |
By:
Well done JC, a superb boxing lesson handed out to the yank and a double bonus was seeing egg on the face of the repulsive Barry McGuigan.
By:
The repeat of Calzaghe v Lacy is on ITV1 now.
By:

By:
One of the best performances ever by a British fighter, by Joe .
By:
Tommy - JC had to be in the best shape of his life to box at that pace for 12 rounds, a sublime performance.
By:
Bobby, I agree with you.
He looked so confident before the fight - and justified that by a magnificent performance. |
By:
I'll bet he was really glad that this fight was scheduled to accomodate the American audience.
He'll hopefully now get the full recognition he feels he's been denied for so many years. As the interviewer says at the end: "Not bad for an old slapper" ! |
By:
*accommodate
By:
I just hope Lacy is not too damaged today. He took a hell of a lot of punishment for 12 rounds.
