Me against Tony King that mad b.......d that has just been convicted of murdering a poor young girl in Spain. And that's after serving God knows how many years in England for raping 5 girls in london. He attacked me in a pub in England some 20 years ago a totally unknown person whose only comment was " I'm going to kill you". It took me 15 minutes to reduce him to a quivering cowardly wreck. he should be locked up for ever at the very least. Tony Bromwich I believe was his original name.........Holloway area.

By:
15 minutes, what was he wearing, armour?
By:
No, but he was carrying a samurai's sword such is the madness of this less than animal.
By:
Should have shot him then.

Boxing later:
Ch5 1am - Boxing Classics - Nigel Benn v Chris Eubank. |
By:
They showed both fights on the programme.
No matter how many times you've seen them before, they really were great Scraps. |
By:
Too late for me, Tommy.
By:
Just watched Cinderella Man.
Thought it was a good movie, but I wouldn't wanna see it again. |
By:
I haven't seen it, Tambers.
So I can't comment. Great news for next Saturday. ITV 3 are showing the Amir Khan fight live at 10:45pm, followed at midnight by 'Muhammad Ali'. The tv listing magazine that I have doesn't give any more information about the Ali programme, but it's on until 1:20am. Definitely worth viewing. |
By:
KOTV AT 2-00 a.m.
But too late for me. |
By:
In my listings and the one on Ceefax it says it starts at 02:15.
It's a great shame that they couldn't have put this great programme on instead of the rubbish they have been transmitting since 12:05. I'll give you one guess what it is... On tonight's KOTV on Ch4 at 2.15 am - they are evaluating the current heavyweight scene. |
By:
It's on now.
Clips of Ali on tonight too. |
By:
Very good so far.
They've just showed clips of Ali v Quarry from the 70s. The fight was stopped at the end of the 3rd because of Jerry's cut above his eye. He was really fed up about it. Bert Sugar is talking now. |
By:
Another great show tonight.
Bert Sugar was interviewed on what he thought about the heavyweight division at the moment. Great to see him with his trademark Trilby and cigar. He obviously won't be cowed by the pc nonsense about not appearing on tv whilst smoking. He (quite rightly) said it was a 'joke' scene at present. ' If you put all the different heavyweight division champs in a police line-up today, no one would even know what they do for a living', was more or less one of his comments. He also said he had spoken to Rachman about whether he'd ever received his WBC belt. Rachman said they wanted him to pick it up in person. Sugar wondered if they couldn't afford the postage to send it to him, as the belt was probably only made from broken beer bottles from the Santa Monica Freeway. A great bloke. |

ali vs brian london
ali knocked him out in a couple of rounds then about 15 guys rushed into ring knocking cr-p out of each other; great stuff might be on net' |
By:
On next week's edition of KOTV, they are showing a piece about Alan Minter who is now training his son.

I see that the Audrey thread has finally dropped off.
Perhaps it was after MB commented: 'that Ali guy was a definite hall of famer' after I'd mentioned that I hope he was watching The Rumble' replay the other week, that everyone finally lost the will to live! |
By:
I may investigate and bring it back.
By:
Please do AITL - most amusing.
Toomy, did you manage to watch PacMan v Morales? |
By:
It's back on 'Other Sports' now.
By:
AITL, don't forget there is a programme about Ali on ITV3 on Saturday after the Khan fight.
Perhaps you can get someone to record it for you if your VCR is still not working. |
By:
Wrong number again, I'm afraid...
ITV 1 |
By:
I can get ITV, if I'm in.
By:
Close second would be Danny Williams vs Mark Potter from about 1999/2000 (only people who've seen this would appreciate it. If I described it here I'd be accused of lying).
......................................... i remember that fight, f-in brilliant. if i recall correctly the commentator said "if this was in a rocky movie, they would say it was too far fetched" for thoes who havnt seen it - download it or something. what happened was - williams dislocated his shoulder, and was fighting with just one arm, with his dislocated arm just hanging limp near enough. he got the KO one handed |
By:
Doesn't say much about Potter then, does it.
Not seen it btw. |
By:
Saving.
By:
MB is looking forward to Audrey's possible rematch with Williams.
By:
I see MB still rates Audrey very highly, AITL.
What a shame he can't recognise a good boxer. |
By:
Oh Danny Boy.....
Please KO this over-rated lump of lard again so I can shut MB up for good. |
By:
Boxing on tv later:
Ch5 - 12:50 - Fight of the week - Perira v Rakkietgym Ch5 - 02:40 -Boxing Classics - Foreman v Frazier |
By:
I'll try to stay awake until 2-40 but it's a long shot.
By:
benn v mcclleland
By:
I know, AITL - It's a shame they aren't showing that one first.
Namely for 'that punch'! |
By:
glasgow rangers when they visited spurs in 60s;;;;;
By:
The boxing on Ch5 was excellent last night.
They showed both of the Frazier v Foreman fights I don't think I've seen the second one that was in New York in 1976, since the first time it was shown on tv. George really had mighty punching power. |
By:
Tonight's boxing:
ITV 1 - 10:45 - Big Fight Live - Khan v Martynov ITV 1 - 11:55 - Muhammad Ali: Through The Eyes Of The World - Profile of the sporting legend. |
