I thought you didn't remember Easter !
By:
did dan sherry have anything to do with sugar ray leonard ie. fought him/trained by him? i just seem to remember him for some reason - can't have been just from the eubank fight.
By:
He fought him once, Easter.
I've just googled it. Doesn't say which year just Rd 1 - 3, which I take to mean Rd. 1 of 3. |
By:
Easter, did you read the boxing post from AITL on Statman's Football thread, by the way?
By:
i didn't tommy. nice work on dan sherry btw.
By:
Well, I'd seen the fight before, but had forgotten the ending.
Stupid thing for Eubank to do, and an Oscar winning performance from Sherry. I'ts a good job Chris got the decision. Don't know how Garry Stretch had Sherry 7 rounds ahead earlier. Hope he never becomes a judge. Didn't he look like Sherry, by the way? McGuigan always insited Chris was 'Eubanks' - must have thought he was a carpet sweeper ! |
By:
I put Statman's thread up for you earlier Easter. Have a read, if you like.

Tonight's Boxing:
CH5 12:45 - Fight of the Week Think this may be the one with the Ali tribute, in the archive section. |
By:
Anytime now, lads.
By:
Have you seen the flab on Clay-Bey?
Think Ali wasn't much over 15 & 1/2 stones in the late 60s |
By:
250-260 lbs - Clay -Bey !!
By:
Don't think this will be much good.
Don't think Ali is on this one, either. |
By:
Loving this TT!!!!
By:
It makes me weep, Sabre.
When I think of the greats that used to be about when I was a kid, and even older....... |
By:
Just tuned in TT. Is this for a title???
By:
No sabre.
Clay-Bey even lost to that Samil Sam in Germany. |
By:
He's too fat!!
By:
Teddy Atlas is calling this right - Clay-Bey can only fight in 'spots', as he's so unfit.
Might have the power for this bloke, still think it's second rate. |
By:
How recent was this fight TT??
By:
Don't know Sabre
Do know it's tripe. This wouldn't have even made the undercard in the 70s. They've just said Bryant's biggest regret is never training hard for his fights! |
By:
I agree mate. Tyson would've destroyed the pair.Is the condition down to the trainer? Regards Clay- Bay???
By:
God knows, Sabre.
They are both hopeless. |
By:
Any way ,lets not wollow is Ali on soon??????
By:
No chance now Sabre, the show finishes in a few mins.
Think the Ali one is on KOTV, lord knows when that's on next. The tv coverage is all over the place with boxing. |
By:
Well, the draw was about right - they were equally as bad as each other!
By:
Oh my God , i've just noticed that Boxing Classics is on at 5.05!!!!!! Taking the mick now!!!!Be Lucky TT.
By:
Good god, hadn't even noticed.
That is just plain ridiculous. That's probably going to be worth watching too. Foolish scheduling. |
By:
Goodnight Sabre.
By:
All the best TT!!!!
