Come on chit-chatters - an old sit-com with Terry Scott has a garden gnome. I think his fellow lead was Hugh ______? - a well known comedy actor. I'm trying to get it without resorting to Google. HUGH AND I |

There were 2 series of this on BBC1 only about 10 years ago with Alexander Armstrong and written by Simon Nye, who also wrote Men Behaving Badly. I thought it was brilliant. No-one ever remembers it. |

'Nightingales' with Robert Lindsay, mentioned earlier was absolute sheer and utter brilliance unless my memory is playing tricks.
2 more nominations: 'Relative Strangers'. Naughty young lad foists himself upon unsuspecting dad (unsuspecting as in didn't know he had a kid). Matthew Kelly at his finest. 'Coach'. High school (US) football coach teaches morals as well as sport. |
