I've just been on youtube to make sure that The Prodigy are as bad as I thought.They are indeed absolutely shocking.I must admit to a general dislike of any such noisy tuneless dance music though,so The Prodigy just serve as my scapegoat for that musical genre.

The Clash and Sex Pistols are also good shouts too.

Roobish, you're giving these "great" bands "classics" more credit than they deserve.

You live in a taste free zone with laminate flooring.

Anything Dave Grohl and Josh Homme have ever been involved in should also be added to the list.

Depeche Mode are are superb band. Great back catalogue and more importantly, unlike a lot of bands that are mentioned here, are still vibrant live and don't just go through the motions.

Some brilliant bands on this thread imo! However...

Beatles = massively over-rated bunch of scousers who just happened to be around when people could start affording tellies (although tbf Lennon was a great songwriter)
Stones = see above, except**neys
AC/DC = simply an example of a heavy metal band that would actually sing/play their instruments properly more than owt else
Queen = no more than reasonable, but any bunch of session musician level fools would have looked good behind Mercury (let's face it, nothing they did ever came close to Bohemian Rhapsody)

(U2, while not favourites of mine, have at least evolved their sound/technique/song writing style & stood the test of time. REM, albeit to a much lesser & less successful degree, have done the same)

I've never seen The Susan**Band or got their album yet but The Lighthouse Famliy and James Blunt are two of this greatest acts this great island has ever produced.

They're no more middle of the road than The Sex Pistols, The Clash, Arctic Monkeys, New Order etc and have better hair FACT.
