Cole Hardens trainer having a Jonjo like run of form since xmas.

Yeah I was keen on Cole Harden and backed him at 22 a while before the Cleeve. Gutted by that run but the yard has had a bug and just been given a clean bill of health. As was stated earlier CH also had a breathing op and runs well fresh, so I haven't torn up the ticket just yet!
I have loved Rock On Ruby since he was narrowly thwarted in the Neptune but I am as sure as I could be that he just won't get home. I think he'll be on vapours as they run to the last. |

Warren Greatrex is looking forward to running Cole Harden in the Ladbrokes World Hurdle at Cheltenham after reporting his smart stayer to be back on form following a wind operation.
The Upper Lambourn trainer had been thinking of taking that measure for a while, but Cole Harden had kept posting good performances, winning the West Yorkshire Hurdle at Wetherby and being placed behind Medinas at Newbury and Rock On Ruby at Cheltenham. However, he decided the time was right after Cole Harden's effort in the Cleeve Hurdle when he was fourth to Saphir Du Rheu. "He's had a wind op. I half looked at it at the beginning of the season and he went and won at Wetherby," said Greatrex. "He was very impressive there and on good ground it wasn't an issue, but on softer ground it's been more of an issue. "After his last run I felt he had better get it done, so we had a cauterisation done. He coped with it all very well and he's back and seems in great form. He's back cantering and he looks a picture. "He's been with the big boys and hasn't disappointed really. I think on better ground and having his wind done, he goes there with a live chance. He never runs a bad race. "We might take him away for a couple of racecourse gallops before and he goes there fresh after a bit of a break." |

Do we actually know for definite if More of That is having a prep run??
If he aint I cannot have him at all,not with the last time we saw him in mind. |
By:
Reports that More Of That is a doubtful runner
By:
Would not be a surprise, where you hear that mate?

An RP tweet

Just announced on RUK........MOT unlikely to run.
By:
Defo not having prep re report other day,not ready for this Saturday.
By:
Wide open this now. Just hope Annie Power isn't re-routed here ! ....
By:
Doubtful to run next month broke blood vessel
By:
Surely Annie has to go there now - she loves beating Zarkandar. Ruby will be pushing for a switch, I reckon.
By:
APs price has dropped obviously a possibility.
By:
Another we aint seen for ages....not for me, and does she stay well enough??
By:
I see Annie's price was going before market suspended
By:
stayed better than everything bar MOT last year - same old opposition really, bar Saphir
By:
Think its a better race this year, lot more depth to it with the Irish horses, plus as you say SDR.
By:
Think she will be in the Mares anyway.
By:
Probably still Mares-bound but she stays plenty well enough...
By:
Willie has half a dozen for that race
By:
the mares race will be the easier option for annie, surely they will go down this route given the fact that she has had her problems this season ??
plus, i'm on zarkandar at a decent price !!!!!!! |
By:
It might even give him the chance to switch Vroum Vroum back to hurdles to take out the Mares - or he may just leave it to Glens Melody and give those owners a grade 1
By:
With Willie and Ruby it's all about winning as many races as poss - and they have nothing else for the World. It was even mooted that Ruby would have to take the ride on Zarkandar!
By:
WMs entries in the World hurdle apart from AP not great. Could possibly win both races with switch.
By:
I just backed Zarkandar again at 7/1 on here ..... when the market settles down again, he'll surely be close to half that.
By:
Annie could win the Mares on Tuesday and then win the World Hurdle on the Thursday!! That would teach her for kicking her stable door down.
By:
'I just backed Zarkandar again at 7/1 on here ..... when the market settles down again, he'll surely be close to half that'
if it does shorten you can lay it - don't think Zark can beat Saphir leave alone Annie if she turns up |
By:
Fair points about connections wanting to win both races, its what they often base decisions on it seems, but the Thing is she had 3 runs last season before Cheltenham, this season she aint been seen.
Think it would be really hard for her to win a World Hurdle on that basis and a Lot easier in the Mares where I would think shes a fair bit better than the rest. |
By:
I think Vroum Vroum may have been taken out of the Mares today actually
By:
It would be some feat for her to win first time up in either race.
Cyborgo did it a while back but not many others. Think she stays plenty well enough personally. |
By:
Well it would be a feat to win a race first time up, but Quevega did it 6 times so if a horse is simply in a different league it can be done.
I don't think shes a different league to the WH field, and theres the difference. Mares is easier to win. And by some way imo. |
By:
Willie still has 7 entered for this including Annie Power.
