yes he could mate, and probably be fav the way some are talking about him inc Timeform.

Seemed very unlikely listening to Munir yesterday IMO. L'Ami Serge for the Supreme, Peace & Co for the Triumph and the rest saved for Aintree.

Lot can happen yet Catch, its certainly something for them to ponder over the next couple of months.
By:
So he's likely to go for the Triumph with 2 lifetime runs?
By:
2 UK..
By:
Would think he could run again mid Feb Sint?
By:
Zarkandar had one hurdle run prior to winning the Triumph. Soldatino had 1 in France and 1 in England prior to winning the Triumph.
I'm more than happy with 3 hurdle runs for Peace and Co prior to Triumph, he's such a natural jumper of a hurdle it wouldn't worry me. I just hope he wins well at the end of the Month and goes stupid short for the triumph as people fall over themselves to get on and lay my stakes back. |

Someone asked for Peace & Co's win in France a few days ago but no one replied, here it is ...

Can't remember many novices being so fluent over obstacles.... Absolute natural and a joy to watch.

Cheers for posting btw Paterson.

Great work Paterson.

Be interesting to see who takes him on at Chelters.

I just love how he jumps, he sees the stride, quickens himself into it and he clears it inch perfect. Surely they have to let this horse make the running, why hold him back and restrict his asset of his speed over hurdles, let him at it, he must save a huge amount of energy with the way he jumps, he loses no momentum and doesn't have to expend energy speeding up again after a slow jump.
How many hurdle races has Ruby Walsh won with superb rides from the front? Geraghty needs to do it on this fellow. He showed his depth of stamina in how he was in 3rd gear posting a superb time lto. If you get it wrong so be it, change tactics next season but don't waste his skills buried up behind other horses. |
By:
Couldn't agree more. He has so much speed. Get him out front and catch me if you can.
By:
The amount of runs would be a concern if he went for a race like the Supreme but it isn't such a concern for the Triumph as there is enough evidence of very few runs being enough to win. Soldatino is an interesting one because it was the same owners and trained also by Henderson.
I'd have him up there in the race and if his jumping takes him to the front I wouldn't disappoint the horse but I wouldn't be firing him out and getting him too revved up going the hill first time. |

Clear that Bromley want's to force the horse to try settle nto at Cheltenham. We know he'll probably pull his way to the front again and still get home again.
Anthony Bromley, who helps manage the racing interests of owners Simon Munir and Isaac Souede, told At The Races Peace And Co - who races in their colours - will line up in the race formerly known as the Finesse Hurdle on Festival Trials Day on January 24. Trained by Nicky Henderson, Peace And Co landed the Grade Two Summit Hurdle at Doncaster in impressive fashion on his British debut last month, but Bromley feels the horse needs more experience. "He's by far from the finished article. He's pulling a lot," he said. "He's going to run in the Finesse Hurdle. "A lot will depend on how good his performance is that day as to whether he goes for the Triumph Hurdle or not. "You want to see a horse the jockey can ride with such restraint and produce his turn of foot. I wouldn't want to see him pulling. "If you pull all the way round Cheltenham you won't necessarily get home. That's why he's going for the trial there. "He's obviously very good, but we've only seen him once and that race fell apart a bit at Doncaster. We'll have to see how the second run goes with him." |

2nd line of the above would worry me if i was on at 5-2
![]() |
By:
People backing him at 5/2 for the Triumph have more to worry about more than Bromley's quotes
![]() 5/2 antepost shots in the Triumph!!! |

Think the most worrying thing re Peace and co,and any novice trained by Hendo, is his poor record in the novice festival races over hurdles.
Hes had plenty of ammo over his vast career, but very few winners. Wraps em up a bit in their early years. |
By:
He's won 2 of the last 6 runnings of the Triumph Hurdle.
![]() |
By:
If this gets beat later this month he won't even be seen at Cheltenham cos Hargam is the one Henderson keeps going on about. Do not want a puller going up that hill.
By:
True my friend, but I was thinking more of his record in his long career.
Point is he thinks a lot more about them for the future, and their respective novice campaigns are geared with that in mind. |
By:
I think budd means the Neptune
![]() |
By:
no I mean all the hurdle races, hes not won any of them many times against how long hes been training.
Hes had a lot of success with horses in top grade 1 races that did not win as novices at the festival. |
By:
He's had many a cert horse run in the Supreme coming home with zero medals.
By:
he has a decent triumph record and one of his always gets placed or thereabouts in the supreme, atrocious record !
on here its a bit like some of the footie forums I go on with the armchair managers ![]() get your cv,s sent out lads ![]() |
By:
How many Supreme winners has he had again?
By:
Triumph Hurdle very good but Supreme winners? Struggling here...
By:
I never said it was atrocious, I am talking about the amount of winners.
We do want winners on here I take it!! |
By:
2 collector
By:
2 Supreme winners since started training in 1978.
By:
As Buddelia says it's all about the winning.
By:
send your cv off the collector
he,s won as many supremes as nicholls and m pipe, more than hobbs, what do you want??? |
By:
I am not part of the n Henderson fanclub believe me
![]() |
By:
We do want winners on here I take it!!
im an antepost punter budd, so its not always about winners with regards my punting, its about making a profit ![]() of course if they do win, the next holiday is booked up ![]() |
By:
I think you are missing the point. He has had many go into the Supreme as fav/2nd fav and failed to deliver. This L'ami serge will be added to the list come March 10th.
By:
Cheers Collector,at least someone understands my point......jesus!!!
By:
i get the point, but dont see it as relevant. its not as if theres a force in nature stopping him winning the race. hes had some horses go close.
2014: josses hill and vaniteux beaten by a very good horse in vautour 2013: river mague, beaten before supreme, unfancied at 18/1 2012: darlan couldnt jump, should have beaten cinders. tetlami down field but geraghty openly said he was nowhere near as good as darlan before the race 2011: spirit son and sprinter sacre beaten by al ferof who was given a brilliant ride, others went far too soon. henderson openly said he didnt want to run sprinter as he was a big baby 2010: oscar whiskey - massively inexperienced and ran well for 4th despite clattering a few hurdles thats a fine recent record imo and wouldnt put me off backing any of his |
By:
He has a good record in this race. I doubt we'll find out too much as regards the horse settling if it's a four runner hurdle at Cheltenham later this month. The Triumph will as usual be a quickly run race. He's far more likely to settle in that. I couldn't have Hargam given me as a free bet.

By:
why can't you have hargam^^^
