SDC would just laugh at FL over the Gold Cup trip

They finished in a heap JT.... to Tiday BaySurprised

Joking aside I think Russell just wants two bites of the cherry and is touting any spurious excuse to get his own way - if he likes it or not FL would be a serious threat to SDC on the book in the GC.

noticed FL has drifted again to 25/1 on here in the GC.Sad

That's entirely possible Ming. SDC jumped very poorly and still finished upsides. As for FL, as I've said before I feel that 2m 5f at championship pace would suit him very well.

FL simply has no chance of lasting home in a Gold Cup. The whole world knows this apart from about 3 people on here lol

SDC starting to get some bad press in the preview evenings - i.e they say he is  overrated - probably liked to the Lexus form again.

if FL settles he will do just fine in the GC - but then I'm a mug apparently lol

The horse may be overrated, that just means he wins by 1 or 2 lengths instead of 10

lot of people counting their SDC winnings already - gltu - however that often leads to woe....  can't see any opinions being objective though.

With Morris now saying its 50/50 on which race he runs in, I think it's safe to say that the Ryanair is now the target. You don't go from being all-out Gold Cup to 50/50 unless someone's had a word.

Not really Brent. It has never been his sole decision. 50/50 means either we're waiting on the weather or we're not telling you.

Sint Maguire has been booked for Champion Court, I think it's a little unfair on Alain Cawley as he hasn't done anything wrong on him.

The horses have been there for anyone to back. My back up plan is Cape Tribulation at 33/1 anyway. If FL goes to the GC, then fair enough. I said Dynaste would go to the Jewson agaes ago on Rogers thread, but you won't see me going around annoying people like your Ballydoyles of this world if i'm proven right.

Graeme, it is quite clear from his posts Ballyfoyle is bursting at the seems waiting to gloat about FL running in the Ryanair. I don't know why. His bet has been placed with the safety of NRNB, something he has reminded us of repeatedly, and at the same time has the temerity to tell everyone else he ''took a view'' on the horse like he is a pro. Phucking ridiculous to call everyone else mugs for backing a horse at 20/1 in an ante-post market. Quite clearly a big time keyboard warrior.

Btw, he has still got to win the Ryanair, though Bally will no doubt prematurely ejaculate before the tape is lifted.

True, I am a big fan of the horse and have backed him accordingly but being realistic he needs to improve 10lbs on what he's done previously and I don't think Maguire will make any difference. I think its more clutching at straws but I hope I'm wrong.

The "mug" part was a bit harsh yes I admit but seriously thinking FL can win a Gold Cup and piling into it like this idiot Graeme when it is obvious to all he's more likely than not to miss the race?...that's junior school stuff man. Imagine being prudent and taking 10-1 NRNB and getting slated? This is a business you fool

Mouse Morris has been quoted as saying "All he does is stay" re First Lieutenant.

Make no mistake,He knows he's a GC Horse and only wants him running in the GC,But unfortunately it's not up to him.
They'll end up running him in the Ryanair though which is a shame as he'd 100% a GC Horse imo

He can gloat all he wants. He's quite open about wanting to mock punters who could lose money, so he digs himself a hole if what he backs fails to fire. It's one reason i'm not too quick in telling people what i've backed, because there's always a Ballydoyle sitting around ready to be chuffed at other peoples loss.

Does FL make the gold cup a better race/stronger contest, imo Yes,so he deserves to run.

Its not about losing money you clown. I don't want people to lose money. I've had a go on a few without NRNB - Sir Des Champs 7/1, Simonsig 10/3, Sprinter Sacre Evens, Lord Windermere 33/1, Houblon Des Obeaux 70/1...it's about having a bit of nous and figuring out "what's the actual chances of my horse running?" before wading in.

In December/Jan when I took FL he was 10-1 for the Ryanair. I wanted NRNB because although I just cannot have him for the Gold Cup there is a chance that he could run if something happens to SDC. I have waded in to SDC because he has only one target. FL does not. Hence you take NRNB in case. That isn't being brave yes but to me it is intelligent.

You, Graeme, are all over First Lieutenant in the Gold Cup...constantly saying he will run cos Mouse says so etc etc. That, to me, is not intelligent. There has been a doubt about this horse for some time as to where he runs. The jockey has categorically stated for a while he can't beat Bobs Worth. He states now he won't get home. Yet you still pile in. I ask why? If he doesn't show up you lose according to what I have read from your various points and to lose money on a horse whose chance was slim in turning up to start with is, in my opinion, amateurish.

If he doesn't turn up in Ryanair I will not be bothered because I will have lost nothing. If he runs he will be 3/1..I have 10s. I could lay off guaranteeing a profit. If SDC doesn't show up in the Gold Cup I have two stand-ins. In that race I can get rid of all 3 as anyone who looks at the market will know so describing myself as swanning around taking 3 single-priced horses? Eh no..not the case...it is all about profit my friend nit who is brave. If you want brave go visit Terry Ramsden. If you want intelligence go see Patrick Veitch.

Bally, sorry but who was NRNB for the Ryanair in Dec/Jan? [. Old Vic went earliest I think but he was NRFB.

And graeme you are quite prepared to have a 'pop' at people who have backed horses.....Zarkandar thread would be a good example. Yet still no mention from you of any horse you have backed in CH. Slightly hypocritical if you don't mind me saying.
By:

Intelligence doesn't come into it. On this occasion a decision is dictated to by the weather. If the ground was good enough he would be going for the GC, so i have no regret in taking decent prices. Neither am i 'all over' this horse. I've had a reasonable ammount by what i bet, but i would have went in more if he was declared. I'll quickly move on and hope cape tribulation bides his time in the race. You talk about prices a hell of alot more than i would talk about a winner.
