Yes I would Well Chief I would doubt if Gerraghty is indeed on board on the day you would get 16's. Depends though as if Cue Card is heavily backed and is around 10/11 Sprinter Sacre will be 8's plus on the day. Especially if Zaidpour runs in it he could be more.

Just watched Nickys interview on ATR this morning; "I think there will be pressure to go (cheltenham)there"

Cool I know he's young but they only get one chance with this chap in the Supreme. He's too good to skip Cheltenham.

Just read Barry Geraghty's blog on the ATR webstie, which he wrote prior to the run yesterday

"Sprinter Sacre’s debut run at Ascot back in November was reasonable enough when he was second to Frascati Park but he scoped badly afterwards so there was even more credit in it. He still jumped brilliantly on the day until he faded up the straight and ran much below expectation. I’d be very surprised if he doesn’t live up to them now in the two-mile novice hurdle"

Been trying to get on the 16's with Koral, but doesn't seem to be worinkg.  Might take the 14's that on offer elsewhere, unless anyone wants to lay 25's for me? Laugh[;)]

I was surprised that 20/1 was available after yesterdays race.

He reminds me of Granit Jack Sad and I'm already thinking of the Arkle in 2012 [;)]

Sorry VC showing 16's on odds comparers but actually only 14s. [>o]

No worries MM, although nothing would give me greater pleasure than making a dent in VC's profits

If he can afford to pay that muppet Paddy McGuiness a fortune, he should be able to afford to offer me 16/1 on Sprinter Sacre Laugh

hes a machine if he runs and barry rides he,ll be 7-1 on the day.he waas so impressive yday kazzene would be about a 120 horse and sprinter sacre beat him by 12l and could of been a lot lot further too hes got a great cruising speed and is a fantastic jumper this horse is top class massive danger to cue card

Visibly impressive but the form amounts to very little although a good run by Kuilsriver in 20 minutes time would add substance to Kazzenes perceived ability. Time was nothing to write home about. However if he is the Henderson No.1 that alone will bring his price down into single figures. Personally I think he is running for a place.

If you read the thread Sprinter Scare is back below you ll see the general chain of thought with this one....as stated 100 % the yard have known all year that this is there best novice and by some way...as now known he came back from ascot with a bug and over xmas with the bad weather he did nothing for 6 weeks.Like many it seems ive been plundering the 25s and more on here for the supreme in recent months and yesterday it was fantastic to see him come back with the expected easy win. After that and very postive comments from NH, BG, micky fitz and many on here and in the post you ll see the momentum build on this one.

From what i know and we can all clearly see id advise a bit of caution re chelt as im desperate for them to go and believe they will this horse has SO MUCH potential and is very much a long term project, he is certainly not your average high class novice who youd throw in the deep end and hope for the best.He is a horse with a huge future over fences with so much size and scope, if you look at him he is the dream but this is still early days and he is a big baby as stated on ATR.......I really hope they go for the supreme as the fast pace over 2 miles will allow him to settle and im sure there is no horse in the race that has as much ability as him including cue card and zaidpour imo ( who both might not run ) either way he has arkle written all over him and i ll be going all in on him for that.

Cue Card is rated a very solid 159 and is likely to still be improving. He has winning form at Cheltenham and, more importantly, in the hustle and bustle of a big festival field. His jumping is more than adequate.

In the fullness of time SS might approach or even beat that mark over hurdles. The chances of him doing it in 6 weeks time are remote. All about opinions though.

Personally I would be more than happy to back SS at 5/1 or better without the fav.

"Sprinter Sacre is very good and will get even better. He's a big baby, but a very good one," said Henderson.

"We have some good novices, but Barry likes him and I suspect he thinks he might be the best of them."

There has been a price cut today for Henderson's Spirit Son in the Supreme. He is entered at Exeter on Sunday.

They are obviously finding out how good Spirit Son is this weekend and I would expect him to come on a ton in his next run. Barry still seems keen on the machiiiiiiiiiiiiiine though.

I’d be mad about Sprinter Sacre after his win in the two-mile novice hurdle. I do think that he is the business and I don’t say that lightly. It doesn’t matter what he beat, it was the style in which he did it. He could go a long way

FWIW I think SS beat a decent horse in the Pipe horse. It's form has been franked twice with Brampour and A Media Luz winning well.

I'm surprised the 12/1 is still available after Zaidpours' demise.

Can see him being the clear 2nd fav behing Cue Card at maybe 5/1ish - looks a bet to nothing to me.

If Spirit Son is better than Sprinter Sacre then lump on because it must be a freak. Personally I think Sprinter is probably the better horse. We will know more tmoz.

My guess has always been Cue Card goes for the Supreme then, if successful, steps up in trip and class against the big boys in the Aintree Hurdle thereby leaving the Aintree novice up for grabs. Maybe NJH will hold one of his 2 back for Aintree.

I'm on Spirit Son @ 20/1 and whilst I appreciate he has beaten nothing of note in his two hurdle races to date,he really couldn't have done any more.He is not as visually impressive as Sprinter Sacre, however he has yet to come off the bridle, and his jumping is very straight, quick and accurate.
Impossible to tell how good he is,but here's hoping.....[;)]

I thought Kid Cassidy would be there no.1 Supreme horse but after what happened yeserday im not sure.

Is SS likely to run again before March ?
By:

will certainly not run again before march and these 2 are in a different league to kid cass who has been found out and firmley put in his place by rock on ruby and megastar

Wouldn't take that form literally he pulled like a train and no1 knows what happened in the fog. I know they strongly fancied him to beat Al Ferof yesterday b4 the unfortanate goings on. I don't think he is as good as the other 2 Henderson novices but he's not too far from being a top horse. Was there any interviews today after the Spirit Son race? Did Gerraghty say what he was riding or anything?
By:
Gashboy13
When: 13 Feb 11 20:13
I don't think he was that well fancied to beat Al Ferof yesterday judging by the market from what I remember. If he was their best Supreme horse there's no way they'd let it go off 2/1 vs a stayer.
By:

Just on another note the last thing i wanted today was for Spirit Son to be impressive as it was, as it now leaves BG with a choice to make. So Sprinter Sacre not going to Chelt/ BG not riding him has become a much more prevalent prospect which I do not like. The only thing which might save us if they feel Spirit Son must have soft ground and save him - but I've had to take the 10/1 about him as I'm not sure this is the case as he moved so well and BG might choose him anyway.
By:
crownbarman
When: 13 Feb 11 20:26
spirit son no1 choice at seven barrows, main patron owens it and BG will ride.
