irony is, the referee might well have deprived Froch of a valid stoppage a little later which would have enhanced his warrior repuation to an even greater degree.

froch has been exposed again he is ordinary fighter B*llocks. An ordinary fighter wouldn't have got through the first 4 rounds. |

if you look back through the thread i called the fact that Froch was getting close to stopping Groves.
Groves was ahead on the cards for sure but if you couldnt see the signs of the fight turning in rounds 7,8 and 9 then your not very up on your boxing. It was a poor stoppage but can you say Froch was honestly ever in massive trouble and out on his feet despite the pounding he took? |

Exactly Froch should be saying he didn't want it stopped because he was about to finish him. After some consideration and advice from his corner he will no doubt say this tomorrow

Was only a matter of time before Froch Knocked him out anyway, early from the ref but the outcome wasn't changed, Groves was gone. As early as it was the ref has done Groves a huge favour

i can honestly say he was in far more trouble after the knockdown than groves ever was. regardless of groves fading |

He was in massive trouble in round one and at various points during the first 4 rounds. Tremendous credit for him to come through that though. A lesser fighter would've been gone. |

Like most people on here I wanted Froch to win, and I'm pretty sure he would have in the end. But this leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.
The only person who has come out of this fight with any credit is Groves, and I hope he has a great future. The new peoples champ! |

When he looks back the fight Freddie he will learn from it.
I just dont know how 2 judges only had Groves 1 pt up? Just watched the stoppage again though its a bad un. |

After the round 1 knockdown he only had 10 seconds until the bell so he wasnt in massive trouble. He was getting tagged often and rocked but i didnt think at any point he was about to be stopped, whereas i could tell Groves was getting broken down - i commented on it during the fight.
