Sydney Trainers Arrested!
Yesterday we had two major features racing on the Randwick Spring Carnival, the time honoured Epsom Handicap and the Metropolitan Handicap. Rating the horses in fitness in the mounting yard and in fact for most of the Randwick meeting is was deplorable how consistent low, substandard fitness ratings were of many horses, yet these were potentially big races that are intended to be paydays for the Owners. It is little wonder that Chris Waller and Gai Waterhouse are the dominant trainers because they have little or no opposition when it goes to peaking a horse in super fitness to win feature races twelve months of the year in Sydney and in fact on all NSW tracks. Sydney Trainers should be arrested and sent back to school as they continually prepare sub 95% fitness horses for premier and weekly races. Just the plain basics of blood counts, fitness levels, strength factors and hypertrophic fitness training are so far out of whack it is laughable! If a teenager had the right training information on the back of a Weeties packet, they would win more races than most Sydney trainers. It is a known fact that trainers are great sales persons, just like used car salesmen, that is my category of most trainers and nothing has changed my opinion. Run after run trainers falsely post-race excuses to owners containing every story under the sun, except that their horses were unfit to win. Trainers happily receive those juicy monthly cheques in the mail, so ask yourself, “how good a business is training horses?” Owners, as always are the big loses as they continually paying millions of dollars a year in New South Wales to very ordinary trainers with very ordinary skills. Admittedly this happens in other states and in fact world-wide but it just seems that Sydney trainers are so poor it is laughable! Maybe they have given up on beating Waller and Waterhouse, who are rubbing their wallets all the way to the bank and rightly so; as they as so superior to many other trainers it is getting a joke. Owners are not helped either by Richard Callander's fitness mounting yard assessments; he really has no idea what so ever of what a fit horse looks like and this only helps the pretend school of trainers to continue in business. When Richard is tipping horses on unwinnable low sub 95% fitness levels against 98% fitter horses, something is seriously wrong! Why not replay your pre-race fitness tips Richard and see how many times your great looking “spot on horses” run near last and sit down and ask yourself why? All you’re doing is making it easier for Sydney mug trainers to continue and owners to keep paying for something they are entitled to and that is a fitter horse with a chance to win. Cheers Jim |

good work Jim ... had to be said in some way ... (no wonder the industry/media don't take to you lol
)but training ... to muscular/cardio fitness ... should not be too difficult to achieve as you state holding fitness even easier i am always interested when you mention a horse has 'lost its look' and 'got away' from the trainer ... the only reason i can think of is a set back that didn't allow some 'work' to be performed maybe its because our newer style 'corporate' trainers aren't like the 'real horsemen' of days gone by where the HORSE was known intimately (both physically & mentally by the trainer) and not just a number on the 'morning gallop saddlecloth' ... whether agreeing with you or not ... you're always good for an interesting read |

Puissence De Lune is gone!
Attention Punters, trade out of Puissence Del Lune now and show a profit or you will lose the lot. This horse is gone. Why so? Well it started sensationally on strong fitness factors with a good blood count of 85% and won like a good horse at Caulfield over 1400 metres to promote to favouritizm in our Melbourne Cup. Now in its 3 runs since it is all heading down hill from now one because one: the trainer has not got it's blood count on the right spiral upwards but more imporantly it's strength factors are disappearing and that means it's hypertrophic levels are rapidly fading off. Why? Media pressure and from the owners "Let's see our champion win" would be the call, so the trainer increases it's kprogram to more miles and yes, it looks so fit, however he has sacrifisced must have strength and hypertrophic levels in the process. The horse probably is down 20 plus kg in body weight on it's first up win and now is getting so lean that he will not have enough time to back off the training, put weight on and turn that strength factors into muscle on muscle. He still has time to peak in blood count, but putting weight back on a horse in full work is a mommoth task. No punters; this horse is gone as others around it are getting stronger and fitter, Puissance De Lune is rapidly running out of power to finish off it's races. Cash in now Jim |

Pollett said it wouldn't even make it to MC, now Value Bet has also seen something, i'm jumping on the bandwagon and agreeing with them both, so thats it 3 strikes its out, listen to the both of them er I mean the 3 of us and jump off now while you can

this horse is gone as others around it are getting stronger and fitter
^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Exaggeration imo, set for the Cup 12 months ago. Media hype and enormous expectations seemed to put the Cox Plate on the hit list ..... trainer knows which one he's actually aiming for..... There's three weeks till the CP and a month till the cup starts. I'd be thinking the trainer would be aware of that. ![]() |

Lloyd Williams to fire up!
All of Lloyd Williams six horses – Fawkner, Green Moon, Masked Marvel, Mourayan, Sea Moon and Seville are on great 97% - 98% fitness levels and each will pay a major part in this years spring carnival. All they need now is higher blood count levels to match their fitness and strength factors and you can back with confidence. Cheers Jim |

All they need now is higher blood count levels to match their fitness
... Jim ... how can a punter know this without knowing someone in the stable ? |
|
By:
Thebas, its the same as when Jim was advocating Quaddies , but how can you take quaddies based on fitness levels if you haven't seen the horse 3 races in advance, I posed the question and never got an answer
Must be some fantasy he lives in lol |
