A horse called Jarvis was rode dead as a maggot in the last race just ran at Cranbourne, nice type and fit so black book next start.
Had him last, reefing and pulling and insted of going to the outside on the home straight, ran into dead ends and stopped riding him. Very suspect ride to me, nice horse Jarvis guys and gals. Woofy |

Darren Weir is riding on a high and winning plenty of races, but why?
Seems a nice bloke and has good set up and has always won country training premierships for as long as I can remember. But why now the sudden rise to fame in the City? Two reason why. Firstly he has never been a 100% fitness trainer but has lifted his average higher and his horse are now running on 97% - 98% fit more offten, resulting in many more wins. Secondly, the other top trainers have really dropped their bundle the last 24 months and just seem to be going through the motions of not bother to put in the hard yards to peak in super fitness, and this all means easy pickings for Weir and Waller. Melbourne trainers, it is time to pull your finger out or you will be washed aside by some very keen trainers arounds. Though most probably wont worry them as they are already set up for life and why should I bust my butt for owners and more! Where the days when Freedman and Hayes were the first to 100 wins a season. The quality of the senior training ranks is disappearing fast and that is bad news for owners when the trainer is riding on previous reputations, owners are getting ripped off. Cheers James The movie script writer. I finished my first comedy movies script of 110 pages in 15 days and with so many jokes and scenes still going, will start on the sequal this week. First script should take about 2 weeks to edit. Looking back from 1987 - 2012 to work out a percentage of fitness in a horse, that is 25 years, yet can write a funny movies scipt in a fortnight. May been in the wrong game, or racing is just so hard? Been pleny of talk about Bart and James Cummings and suppose time will tell if James is any good, but Bart is gone now as a stabel trainer, but may still have just a little bit left for a Group 1 youngster if he can find them. Peter Snowden on his own will be huge. John Oshea to me is not up to it, but they say may have up to 400 horses to train, surely that cannot be right, but if it is, requires a super human to do this and that is what Snowden did for Hawkes and himself for decades. Collingwood won the 2014 grand final, that is great and beat Melbourne by 28.8 points. Google Glass still on the go. I am still amazed at the script writing I have done, experts say "suppose" to be hard yakka as they say it takes 1-2 years to write a good comedy, come so easy for me. Maybe the proffessor wrote that also! I am banking on Australia winning the ashes here this year, 3-2 No, racing is a very tuff gig. Cheers The Esoteric James |
