Thanks for reiterating what i said about a company in a Monopoly position abusing its market position Crazy.

The reason I pay more is because I deliberately keep my contribution high. It affords me money making opportunities that PC payers cannot risk. Which of course means that you are treated differently than others in what you are allowed to do on the site. Means you were either lucky, or had the foresight to change strategies to bump it up. But then, you have claimed on here that you can turn PC payers into non payers through your strategies, so why not let them in on it? Will create more turnover for you yeah? To simply suggest that you were paying PC, and arb to create opportunities to allow you to generate commission is a little negligent however, as if you have a week/fortnight/month, where all your arbs are losing, all you manage to do is dump bulk profits from your main strategy, on arbs that make you a mere fraction of what it cost you to do them. |
By:
Nobody said that isn't true, PC. But I am not going to waste time wallowing in it. Just move on and go about doing what you do best.
If the landscape changes and you get a chance to rub their faces in it, revel in that opprotunity. I know I will. |
By:
That's right Kye. Remember at the beginning it would only catch a few traders.
Now it's to pay for their advertising to attract new customers What will the next line of Propoganda be? |
By:
No, BJT. I means I make things possible by working within the confines of the PC model.
I provide the exact same income stream per dollar of turnover as everyone else. I have 0 privileges that others don't have. |
By:
That was their line in the beginning, it isnt the latest in a long line of excuses, and it makes sense.
I have seen so many destructive bots on here. Back in 2004 they were everywhere. What Betfair did to stop them made perfect sense to me then and it still makes sense to me now. Maybe I have a wider experience of what it was like before. I don't know, tbh. I just know the bots were wiping the floor with the punters and taking money out of everywhere at a geometric rate. |
By:
Well this has honestly been a fun debate. I enjoyed it very much.
Cheers. |

I have a question for you Crazy, & this is a true account of what has happened many times.
I have 8 weeks of very good operating & get charged PC every week bring me to 20%. Then in a week i lose 15k & my Lifetime commission vs profit goes up to 22%. Why don't they refund what i've paid to bring me back to 20% Now. I am quite good at what i do & eventually i go back under the 20% but what if i didn't? This will test your 'rationale' argument |
By:
It's a bit unrealistic to expect Crazy to reveal his strategies....I don't even tell the wife exactly what i do in case she blabs.....and I'm the only punter she knows
![]() |
By:
Crazy, i hope your contract doesn't expire soon. They will be looking to cut staff once turnover drops
not sure what was wrong with the bots. They had/have no impact on my profitability. |
By:
agree Whoopi, anyone that reveals their strategies is quite silly
By:
His shift must've finshed Kye

By:
Mr Off, you say you can lose 15k in a week and yet you pay 4% commission, sounds strange
Also how long have you been a betfair black member? |
By:
I don't mind revealing my stategy. I read formguides & study videos, work out the winning chances & then back them if reasonable value.
By:
What's a black member?
I have lost 10k in 1 bet many times during my Betfair life MrSpy. My current discount rate is 38%. No reason to BS on here & happy for BF to remove the thread if anything i have posted is incorrect |
By:
Kye i am once again perplexed.
You are a traditional punter. You pay 34% of your profit to Betfair. At that rate you'd be better off using the TAB, so why use Betfair? |
By:
exactly whoopi. I am using TABs more & won't be long before i close BF account. But i want to have a good whine before i leave
By:
Fixed price
By:
Depends on what you mean as many times, must be spaced out or your commission discount would be lower.
Google betfair black and then log in to it using your betfair login details and go to rewards, stacks of stuff there |
By:
Spy, i would say i have 10k losses on an individual market approx 6 times per year. Obviously, if they happened frequently i woul dbe losing & wouldn't even get near getting charged PC. In May this year i think i had 2 in 3 weeks, but they would normally be 2-3 months apart.
I was really only giving it as am example because when it happens my lifetime commission to profits % goes up to between 21-22% but Betfair don't offer me any rebates on the PC i've alread paid ![]() |
By:
Sorry, MrSpy

This is quite funny MrSpy
http://whatisbetfairblack.com/ "Because unlike other wagering companies, we want you to win". They forgot 'as long as you are paying us 20% of what you win' ![]() |

By:
MrSpy, thought i'd check to see if they replied to my tierce email. Wow, the people at Betfair are nice. Look at their offering

By:
doesn't that still leave you with 8 or 9 thousand dollars profit?
Do you reckon you could make that without Betfair? |
By:
lookkkkkkk at me...........look at meeeee...................i made 8 grand in 2 weeks and have to pay 1200 for doing so
By:
log, it was actually just 1 week.
Whoopi, 8.5 Aus before Betfair steals from my account tonight. & second answer is No. All i'm pointing out is that when they introduced this they said they were trying to get traders (am not a trader), then they said that 'I have to pay for their advertising to attract new customers'. They preach how great they are for punters. Just another version of the Jolly Green Giant abusing their market position. & they have to hide to offer a ticket or 2 in return I'd rather they just have their way with me & f**k off without saying goodbye ![]() They cry poor & i'm sure there are many caught up in this blatant money grab. Please Tab or racing industry, start a new exchange & i'm happy to sign up as first customer |
By:
So obviously you're doing something that you can't do elsewhere...but you'd wish they would just close your account so you cant make 7 grand in a week?
By:
Sorry 8.5. You're not one of those guys with the fast pictures are you?
By:
No fast pictures.
& 'I'd rather they just have their way with me & f**k off without saying goodbye' Basically means after thieving my account on a weekly basis i don't want them to call me & tell me what a great service they are offering me. |
By:
You are still here, and you clearly state you couldn't make the level of money you do elsewhere, so by extension you are suggesting Betfair is the most profitable platform for you to use based on their current fee format. Which means you have no right whatsoever to winge and grizzle.
Unfortunately, it does smack of look at me If Betfair offer the most profitable platform for you as a punter, after all charges, please tell me what they are doing wrong? |
