Voyburg - 2:25 Exeter 5pts EW
I will chance that Voyburg make it to the finish line today after his last 4 finishes of P/U/P/P Has winning form over hurdles at Exeter, dropped back down to winning mark for today’s run with claimer taking off another 7lbs, drops back down to a Class 5 hcp hurdle for first time since his win here in Dec. 2021 currently at 10/1 on sportsbook so will go EW |

A couple of interesting selections lads! The drop in class for yours Sont might be enough for him to go close today. You're taking a big leap of faith with your selection! GL with them both.
Been very slim pickings this week but I'm looking at one tonight at Kempton at price. |

*Leap of faith required for your one OTH. Looks a really poor race though. GL

I thought my selection would have been a bit more competitive today, but, at least he made it to the finish line this time!
Fingers crossed for our next runner |

Looking at the 3.20, there will be some pace on up front. It could setup perfectly for Precision Storm who needs keeping on the bridle as long as possible. I hope Sont's can hang around for a piece of it.

I'm going for one tonight at Kempton in the 8.00. Red Flyer did a bit too much at Lingfield LTO after a short break but that run should have blown away any cobwebs and the winner of that race is very useful. A repeat of his run 2 back would see him going very close in this race. That race was deep for a class 4. The winner (Soonghan) of that race is only rated 84 but he'll be rated a lot higher by the end of the Flat season. The 5th Duty of Care already looks like 100 rated animal and there were plenty of decent handicappers in behind including the re-opposing Party Island.
The booking of Kingscote who's won twice on the selection from just a handful of rides is also big positive and he should be able to get a good tow into the race. This race isn't as strong as the Soonghan one and I expect the Flyer to go very close with Haku who looks an improving sort, the one to beat IMO. |

Absolute stinker of a run
![]() Good luck tonight Whip |

Red Flyer was well backed but there was one in the race who is 14lbs better horse than his current rating! In the end Red was pipped for 2nd by my saver bet (also had a RFC on the 2)
![]() Got anything lined up today Chav and Swad? I was looking at Harrys Bar at a price. Probably wouldn't be quite up to this race in usual years but those at the front of the market have plenty of if's and but's about them. Harry looked on very good terms with himself LTO beating a useful yardstick. At a double figure price this solid AW horse has got plenty going for him IMO |

Would have been a few EW points for us....are you about lads?

WP, Usually I should be around to post a wild card, but today I’m having computer issues so just been sorting my football bets and haven’t looked at today’s racing.
Should we have a cut off point of 2:30 and if there are still posts to be made then anyone can jump in with a wild card so we aren’t rushing for selections at the last minute? I’m sure we’ll have a few Saturdays where people either forget, are too busy or, as with me today, have computer/forum access issues Good luck with the 2 selections you posted |
|

Ffs sorry man just seen other thread that I should have posted, ffs sorry again.

Yeah, good idea OTH. We'll have a cut off point of 2.30pm from now on then.
Swad, both yourself and Chav are in my bad books. But all will be forgiven if you both give me a winner next week. ![]() |

Cheers lads. I'm a bit disappointed with myself for not putting up the Balding horse in the Novice race. She's named after a town a short drive from where I live! She certainly came on a ton for her run at Salisbury at the back end of the Flat season. I think she could be a listed class filly.
Good luck with all your bets at the Festival this week chaps. ![]() |

Jazzy Matty 4.50 Chelt.
Was the 3/1 JF along with Byker when they were 3rd & 4th behind Sir Allen LTO @ Naas, both btn around 5Ls.Sir Allen did win that quite comfortably that day in fairness but today those 2 have a 16 & 15LB pull @weights. Jazzy Matty did also finish 4Ls in front of today's Jolly,Tekao when they both made their hurdling debuts behind Comfort Zone @Navan in November.Tekao's probably improved since then but Jazzy Matty again has a weight pull in this (13LB). Around 16/1,got a good E/W shout today. GL ALL. |

Well done Penzance! Excellent reasoning behind your selection and you were duly rewarded. I had a feeling you'd be an asset to the team and this has now been confirmed. I hope you had plenty on Sir!
![]() Thanks to Chav for putting a few more handy points on the board too. |

I thought it was the "home team's" best chance after Constitution Hill. Absolutely mullered.

I was thinking of putting Gold Tweet up tomorrow in the 3:30
Up and comer into grade 1 but has won well round here in grade 2 and loves the ground, 11/1 is a decent EW price as well, very competitive race though and Mullins horse Klassical is the other horse I was looking at |
|

penzance shows us how it’s done!! nice one, and well done chavman
the pressure is on us to top up our points I’ve never done well at Cheltenham, but today’s Hexham meeting has been good to me over the years, so I will have a crack at one of today’s races I’ve got 2 picked out, both from the Micky Hammond yard 2:30 Hexham - Kildrum 3:10 Hexham - Visite Officielle and of the 2, I will go for Visite Officielle put in an improved performance lto, on 2nd hurdle run, to finish 2¼ lengths 3rd of 8 winner on the Flat in France on Vsoft ground and placed on heavy ground Hopefully can show further improvement today to at least place at double figure odds to add some points to our score |
|
By:
Gold Tweet has been very backed Sont. I can't say I'm surprised because he won with plenty in the tank LTO and he seemed to enjoy the undulations of Cheltenham. You could give 6 or 7 a chance in the race though. It looks seriously competitive!
Nothing wrong with playing to your strengths OTH. ![]() Good luck with your selections today chaps |

I have had a nibble at Custard the Dragon 610 and I am putting up EW lads.
GL rest of week |

I've gone for Magnor Glory 2.10 Cheltenham e/w
He hasn't run for ages but the race he won at Listowell has worked out really well. I'm hoping that was a plan to go with that mark and nothing to do with horse. Good jockey booking as well. Hopefully it can at least get in the 4. |
|
By:
I couldnt watch my race but it was either a faller or most likely never in it
![]() Good luck dealer ![]() |

I've eventually went for raffertys rules e/w 1.50 Uttoxeter

By:
Good luck with you selection TD. I'm on the hunt for one at a double figure price
![]() |
|
By:
Quite like Galahad Quest in the next at Kempton. But a 4/1 winner won't do anything to improve our placing....I'll keep looking!
|
|
By:
Gone for Plastic Paddy at Wolves this evening. All wins at 1 Mile but hasn't had that many chances at 7. First run at Wolves at 7F could suit. There doesn't look too much pace on and the selection is versatile tactics wise. He's worth chancing at a double figure price.
Thanks for your efforts lads. See you for round 2 |
|
By:
Well done the points scorers in the first round, we didn't do too bad
I'm hoping my selection this week at least decides to take part in the race!!! Good Luck All |
