I know there is still one race to take place before the final scores are posted but unless London Eye drifts to over 16/1 from its current price of about 4/1 we have won this first fortnightly competition. Many thanks to all the team members with their efforts which started off a week past Sunday with a terrific winner from qqking and apart for a small period of time we retained the lead throughout the fortnight. The next fortnightly competition will include the Cheltenham Festival, so I hope that at least someone has a nice priced winner to help us retain our winning position.

Not sure whats going on with bluenose,posted saturday morning in the big race comp and got the winner,posted friday in the AW comp but not saturday sunday even though 3rd in table

Been watching the rugby so have just caught up with the racing. Another brilliant start by qqking, well done, that certainly eases the pressure on everybody's selections this week. At the moment I am thinking of the Ultima for this week's selection but things could change.

Magic stuff qq!!!

I was looking to pick Powerstown Park after last week's excellent performance and noted that it had 3 entries this week to strike again while the iron's hot. However, at 8/11 in todays chosen race I will pass. Similarly Sexy Lot who was equally impressive last week and also runs today at fairly short odds.....no it doesn't - just seen it's a n/r!!!

So I will wait for the Coral Cup.....probably.

As I said previously I think I will go for Aye Right in the Ultima today. One of these frustrating things is where horses get raised in the handicap without winning but hopefully he is well enough handicapped still to win. With Callum Bewley suspended, Richard Johnson takes over on top and this can not be other than a positive factor. With 16 runners and 4 places at this time still the case, will go for it EW as a bit of insurance.

I think I have probably had Vintage Clouds for every one of the last 4 years in this race as well as most of its other races but thought that its best days would be behind it. Sods law applies again!!

I am all over Shang Tang to win the Coral Cup today. Came there swinging in the 3 miler at Donny only to run out of petrol then cantered up over 2m4f at Fakenham lto.
Slight worry that Adam Wedge is missing and it isn't the best jumper of a hurdle I've seen but at 50 or 60 on the exchange i see it as nailed on to back now and then lay back at single figures in running.
However, in the interests of the competition, in which we are leading once again

, I feel it is better to put up a shorter priced selection.
I was originally looking at Bravemansgame e/w but there are only 2 places and 3 well fancied horses.
So I am going to go 10pts win on Chacun Pour Soi in the Champion Chase at about 4/5.

It fluffed the start and was never really travelling that well despite having a shout on the turn in.
Had the winner as my reserve in the nh comp, which is not untypical, now just seen Nube Negra lose out, not going well today.

Well done there duke, I must admit I didn't understand why Tritonic was fancied at all, so seemed best of the non-Irish horses.
Lockup, good luck with Santini, for what it is worth he would have been my long term selection at the beginning of the season, but I would wonder if the ground is not a bit fast for him today. However, I have been wrong before and will be again.
