Really special horse. Not many...if any could slow up at the last in a grade 1 and then still pick up again and win going away. Those ales will go down nicely tonight, Tiger

Yes, lambing season is slowly coming to a close so I've a rare night off tonight and will be sinking a few
![]() ![]() Good luck with Camelot Tales. |

No joy with Camelot Tales. Looked a touch of value but the late drift told the story. The winner looks a bit special...Frankel x Snow Fairy. GL tomorrow team. Big betting day for myself.

Could be busy tom so got my sel up
Verreaux eagle same as last time when placed at a big price, wont be a big price tomorrow, 315 Thirsk. Should go positively off the front and have every chance. Backed it EW for us, we look in a good spot this round, hopefully this adds on, and hopefully doesnt go off short to make it a stupid each way poke. GL those still to go. SWAD |

Beer going down well here, bottle of wine in reserve, but its Old Speckled Hen to start with, bottle 5 open. Looking at the last day of the Punchestown festival at the moment:
Mares Champion at 3.20, a Mullins race but which one? Stormy Island won lto after returning to the stable following an unsuccessful spell with Nicholls, was rated 153 before going to Nicholls, would put her right up there with the fav Concertista who was just touched off in the Mares at the Cheltemham Festival and then there is Burning Victory, not seen since winning the Triumph, fortuitously it must be said (the race where Goshen was cruising until unseating at the last), will have to improve to win this but who knows, its one of the first two mentioned for me. The 4yo Champion Hurdle at 4.00. Quilixios won nicely I thought at Cheltenham but for some reason is now second fav to the horse he beat that day, a Mullins horse Haut En Couleurs who is open to improvement but will have to imo, a bigger danger is maybe Mullins other one Saint Sam who ran a cracker at Cheltenham in the Fred Winter finishing second giving a stone in weight to the winner, looks big at 12/1. to me. 2,000 Guineas day at HQ, not even looking at this early stage of the season. Not much to look at either at Goodwood, maybe Nebulosa if there was some money for the handicap debutee. Nowt to get excited about at Uttoxeter and Thirsk looks like a lottery. Coupe De Champagne is interesting in the 8.10 Doncaster, the three year old weight for age allowance at this time of year is 19lbs, not to be sniffed at when you consider that over tomorrows distance 3 year olds have a strike rate of 16.2% over 12 furlongs as opposed to their elders with a 7.9% strike rate at this distance. MJ has found a good race for her handicap debut, 5/4 is shortish but probably correct. |

Good luck Swad, looks a good one that, got a nice draw too.
By:
Paricolour in the first at Hexham has already readily accounted for the second and third in the betting market, 13/8 looks a decent price for this one having won 4 from 5 at the distance, and won 5/6 in Selling Hurdles. Pipe doesnt send many to this venue but is 4/6 in Class 4/5 here in recent years. Stable also has First Lord De Cuet in the next making chase debut, last seen in the Martin Pipe Conditional at Cheltenham.

Kingscote goes to Thirsk for 3 for Stoute yet his stable have one at Goodwood. If i had to nap one today it would be Moraaheq 6.05 Don
By:
Well played winners this week.
1-22 uttox Master Newton EW 16 runner novice, hopefully has his ground and distance, from the front hopefully. |
By:
Unlucky noc. Good money for Nebulosa but I've missed the off time.
By:
Anyone having a punt in the Guineas?
Good luck if you back Moraaheq eastendboy. |
By:
GL today guys. I probably would have went for Quilixios today. Landed a nice bet on him at Cheltenham. I hear plenty of pundits saying the 3rd can reverse the form. I don't see it myself because the winner won with a bit up his sleeve. The magic carrots might be in use today though.

By:
Aye having missed Nebulosa I'm down to Quilixios or Coup De Champagne, don't like the 3.00 pm cut off time on a Saturday but rules are rules so will decide soon.
By:
Having just watched Illykato take advantage of the three year old allowance to win at Goodwood and Lilac Road run well in the same race I'm edging towards Coup De Champagne in the 8.10
By:
I get the rule for a 3pm cut off for Saturday for week 2 but not week 1.
By:
I've backed 2 Ante-post in the Guineas.....Wembley & Thunder Moon.
By:
Swad's must have a decent shout. Ran into one LTO but the stable is in decent form and this race doesn't look as strong as the one at Newmarket
By:
Watching brief for me in the Guineas, Battleground ew would have been a tentative choice but its so open, best left. I agree about the week 1 and week 2 rules, can see it for the last Saturday but not the first one, unless it suits undecided's plans for the day which is fine.
By:
Yep, Swads should at least place you would think, fingers crossed.
Holding on until the last minute to see if any money comes in for Paricolor in the 5.20, was my original first choice but I don't like the overnight drift from 13/8 to 5/2. |
By:
First time blinkers and the application of cash on the Elison beast in that race....
By:
Aye, saw all that WP, but despite Ellison not having a great record a great record in Selling Hurdles its still the one thing putting me off.
By:
9/1 to 3/1 is a fair old punt and Ellison doesn't like to leave his dosh in the ring.
By:
Huge drift on Swads said it all, unlucky Swad.
By:
Yeah, that would be just enough to put me off that short one in the race. I think you've picked the right one with Joan the one to beat in there....very good course record 2 wins and a 4th in a hot race from 4 runs there. GL man.
By:
Yeah, you really can't ignore the market these days. UL swad but totally understand him sticking with the horse
By:
Cheers Tiger, I often pick a winner or two up from your Friday night write ups, got 6.8 for Stormy Ireland and backed Nebulosa too, keep up the good work.
By:
You should always use price if you've got a race down to 2. I hope you had Stormy, Tiger.
By:
Great choice by Dessie in the Guineas, relegates us to second place I would think. Cheers Oily. Yes WP I was on Stormy Island, almost put it up on here as an ew for the comp, hindsight's a great thing. Managed to back Nebulosa too after the money came in for him, again, was too late for here, just hope I've picked the right one for the comp.
Unfortunately last night I went to bed and left a price in for Paricolour (3.5) and got matched, will decide what to do with that nearer the race time. |
By:
Looking at what you wrote last night I fully expected that you would have put up Paricolor for the comp TT. Looked in to put a smiley up, not to be, good luck with the other one.
By:
Paricolor won well enough, just hope the one I ended up with for the comp does as well.
By:
As long as you got on yourself, Tiger.

Unfortunately I traded out at 1.5, never mind, a profit is a profit. Happy with that though

I had a terrible day yesterday ,everything I backed was beaten after a furlong.I will work hard to find a nap but who knows with my luck the last couple of days.
By:
Moral of the story, ignore everything your captain says! UL Tiger.
We all have days like that EEB. It can be the most frustrating game on the planet at times but also one of the greatest. Good luck this week team ![]() |

Put up Dubai Fountain.

Nice one Platty!
Gone for one in the next at Chester. Backed it to win but gone EW for comp purposes. |

Possible one from me tomorrow, Jabbarockie in the first at Chester, might be ew depending on price, he won fto last season as he did this and ran well enough 2nd and 3rd time up too making him of interest tomorrow, the form of his win at Musselburgh is working out fine with the 2nd and fourth both winning next time out, one of them then being placed in a Group race, even the 8th and 9th came out and were placed in Class 2 and 3 handicaps respectively, up 3lb but should at least make the frame tomorrow, niggling doubt is the course (never ran here before) but has the 1 draw, perfect for a front runner and has won at tight tracks like Musselburgh (twice). Will look further tomorrow if I'm around.
