Good luck Custard, Andrew, china & mackies
I've taken a chance on Stormy Antarctic EW in the 3.15 Newmarket. I say 'taken a chance' because the big question is what has gone wrong on the last two starts? However, just three runs back he was an excellent second to Persian King in the Group 1 Prix d'Ispahan (Group 1), with the likes of Century Dream and Roseman behind him, a run that would strongly suggest he retains his ability at the age of seven. He's the top rated in this field, should be fine on the ground, and bolted up over C/D in the Craven Stakes back in the day. He's been weak in the betting this morning and is now out to 7-1, but hopefully he's back in something like the form he was in at Chantilly in July. |

Mackies is having a problem accessing his account but he's asked me to post his selection for today. Hopefully it will be resolved soon.

Shocker of a day and always possible one of the chasers might land on a big price.
Good luck china. At least by going last you have kept us in it until the end. Fingers crossed for the place. |
|
By:
Sounds like we might have done enough by finishing at least second

Looks like it George.

Easy Game was disappointing (specially after The Storyteller franked the form) never really travelled with conviction and didn't jump that well that was a feature of his win LTO. The trip may have been a little on the sharp side as well and i was surprised he didn't lead.
Good luck China, we can still top the group. |

We can`t be caught now, we`ve held onto the title with a little in hand.
Well done to each and every one of you. Great team effort. |

Let`s go all guns blazing to win round 7

Well done captain and well done team. We've got about a £47 lead in the overall profit, it would be nice if we could hang on to that lead too, but hey, let's not get too greedy, we've got our hands on the title and that's the main one!

Well done Lucky Pins, you lads put up some very tidy priced winners. The shrewdies ran green and wandered about on the run-in but we will come on for the run. We'll be put away now and given time to mature and fill out our frame and then come back next season a more finished article.
![]() Well done lads! |

I also would like to add my thanks to those mentioned in Georges post (15.05). A good competition, well organised and played in good spirit.

By:
I concur Andrew, very well run and in a good spirit.

tbf lads you rode your luck and were some might say fortuitous to say the least.

Good luck Custard,
Can’t see why Beet Topper is Fav in that 3:20 race. Last ran 27th Jan ’20 drifting from 11/1 to 14/1 and refused to race. The 3 races before that were all abysmal. But what do I know? |
|
By:
Too right, chav, we are indeed fortuitous to have this competition won at the furlong pole.

im surprised half your team arent detained tbh

Took a few days away after Saturday. It was like winning the Premiership but losing on the day 7-0. We only needed a stake back but everything ran like a drain. I know it happens but it was disappointing and winning three rounds in a row would have been quite an achievement.
That said it shouldn't obscure what went on before. A couple of players kept us in the game early on and fighting for every point was important but with the exception of Saturday we went on to produce a pretty decent team performance which is what the competition should be about. A good fun, for the most part, and very well run competition. Well done to all fellow Pins on retaining the title. 4.25 Hereford Shearer Win I wouldn't have put this up if the competition was still live. Been waiting on this horse to be named and make his debut. He is a 150,000 store related to one of my favourites, Empire Of Dirt. Most of the Flemensfirth's handle a bit of cut and I will be pretty disappointed if he doesn't go close. Good luck to everyone else. |

Shane, I think my post might have put you away there, I meant it was a good effort to finish second (traded odds-on in the run).
|
|
By:
Not our day, two finishing second after trading odds-on in the run. Unlucky, differentdrum.
