Thanks all.

Although he was well beaten he did beat the others easily enough. I backed him twice each-way with a saver on Bear Ghylls and just as important we got some points as well so all good news.

Good luck to everyone else this week.

Looking at one at Cheltenham tomorrow in the big field handicap hurdle. Also one of my favourites on Saturday, Frodon.

Went for Bobba Tee ew who was possibly given a little too much to do on a step up in trip it looked like he wanted, but possibly not quite good enough to have beaten the prominently ridden winner in any event.

Still, 2nd place and points on the board.

Good luck those playing tomorrow

WD mackies, the place points all count.

Well played Mackies, more points in the bag.

The one I fancied today in the Cheltenham 3.00 race was Exod'ela. It finished 5th at 12/1 (backed down from 22/1 late on). Going to stick with Frodon tomorrow, 10pt win.

Tempus is out at Newbury carrying top weight in heavy ground over 10furlongs.I give it a chance but not a bet for me at the price. Good luck to the rest of the team.

Well done again mackies. Early days but two scores out of two have put us in second. Six more scores tomorrow would be nice.

Good luck with Frodon custard - it would be nice to see a bit of market support - and good luck to everyone else.

I still don’t know the correct thread to post my selection on.
This is what I have bookmarked, could some kind soul put the correct URL up on here so I can change it.

It's on the right thread HS. Good luck.

I notice the Thieves mainstay has gone each-way on Frodon. It is worth keeping an eye on what the Thieves and Shrewdies are doing. Holding a lead into the last round is important otherwise the final result is out of our hands.

Well done yesterday mackies.

Good luck to those of us picking today.

I've taken a chance EW on Mac Swiney in the Futurity Stakes 2.55, at around 12-1. He actually has a verdict over Wembley from when winning his maiden at the Curragh in June on yielding ground, although the form was reversed by some way in the National Stakes on quicker ground. But softer ground does look the key to Mac Swiney, who won his Group 2 on such ground when beating subsequent Group 2 scorer Cadillac in the Irish Futurity, admittedly form which still suggests he is held by Wembley who had Cadillac behind him in the Dewhurst.

However, Mac Swiney does look ready for this step up to a mile both on run style and pedigree, so I'm hoping the combination of a return to softer ground and the step up in trip will see him competitive today.

Unlucky China, Happysandwich and Shane.

VWD to George and Custard Cream, a couple of superb winning selections and not for the first time. With a bit of luck we could finish the week on top.

I'm almost embarrassed to put up a 11/10 shot, the only mitigation i have is it was 7/4 last night and it won. Laugh

Good luck to all next week.

Brilliant work, no other word for it. Well done Custard, George and Andrew.

I was a doubting thomas with Frodon in that I thought a couple might run him down. Not a bit of it, terrific jumping performance seeing them off one by one. I backed Mac Swiney myself so a double bonus.

Hopefully, that sets things up nicely for a strong second week.

Very well done again Custard, great scenes when a tough front running chaser like Frodon keeps coming back for more.

Cheers all, Mac Swiney absolutely wasn't wanted in the betting, returned 12-1 even after the fav came out, but clearly he's very effective on soft / heavy, despite the top line of his pedigree suggesting he might prefer quicker ground.

Amazing tipping George / custard/ Andrew.

Unlucky with the other 3 guys.

Not a huge jumps bettor but what a horse Frodon is. And like Frodon, we keep finding when we hit the front. Hopefully we can wrap it up this week.

Good luck if you play today custard. We have the option of taking a breather and seeing how much ammunition the others use in trying to catch up. It could be that the Mob are going to go Mob-handed again at the weekend. We held them off before but it might be better if we are not playing 8 against 3? That said winners are good at any time.
