Allotments and gardening in the day.
Rewatching Breaking Bad and keeping up to date with Better Call Saul in the evenings.
Reading lots of new sci-fi and sci-fan.
Endlessly on WhatsApp with various bunches of mates and family, circulating all the virus jokes while we wait to see if we are gonna die.

No horses, no football, no cricket.
Still, at least if they cancel this season it's probably the only way LTFC wont get relegated! GrinGrinGrin

Stay safe everyone.

You`re a Luton fan mads, good luck with relegation.

Watched a lot on Netflix, mrs dictates what to be honest. She loved the Orthodox Jewish series `Shtseil` or something similar.

Learnt how to cook a few more dishes. Bought loads of plants last week, little nursery still open just outside Sheffield.
5 Lupins or a fiver, same with Delphinians.

A big city lawyer went duck hunting in rural North Alberta.
He shot and dropped a bird, but it fell into a farmer's field on the other side of a fence.
As the lawyer climbed over the fence, an elderly farmer drove up on his tractor and asked him what he was doing.
The litigator responded, "I shot a duck and it fell in this field, and now I'm going to retrieve it."
The old farmer Peter replied, "This is my property, and you are not coming over here."
The indignant lawyer said, "I am one of the best trial lawyers in Canada and, if you don't let me get that duck, I'll sue you and take everything you own."
The old farmer smiled and said, "Apparently, you don't know how we settle disputes in Alberta. We settle small disagreements like this with the 'Three Kick Rule.' The lawyer asked, "What is the 'Three Kick Rule'?" The Farmer replied, "Well, because the dispute occurs on my land, I get to go first. I kick you three times and then you kick me three times and so on back and forth until someone gives up."

The lawyer quickly thought about the proposed contest and decided that he could easily take the old codger.
He agreed to abide by the local custom.
The old farmer slowly climbed down from the tractor and walked up to the attorney.
His first kick planted the toe of his heavy steel-toed work boot into the lawyer's groin and dropped him to his knees!
His second kick to the midriff sent the lawyer's last meal gushing from his mouth.
The lawyer was on all fours when the farmer's third kick to his rear end, sent him face-first into a fresh cow pie.
Summoning every bit of his will and remaining strength the lawyer very slowly managed to get to his feet.
Wiping his face with the arm of his jacket, he said, "Okay, you old fart. Now it's my turn."
The old farmer smiled and said, "Nah, I give up. You can have the duck."

A magician worked on a cruise ship.
The audience was different each week so the magician did the same tricks over and over again.
There was only one problem: the captain's parrot saw the shows each week and began to understand how the magician did every trick.
Once he understood, he started shouting in the middle of the show, "Look, it's not the same hat!" or, "Look, he's hiding the flowers under the table!" or "Hey, why are all the cards the ace of spades?"
The magician was furious but couldn't do anything.
It was, after all, the captain's parrot.
Then one stormy night on the Pacific, the ship unfortunately sank, drowning almost all who were on board.
The magician luckily found himself on a piece of wood floating in the middle of the sea, as fate would have it... with the parrot.
They stared at each other with hatred, but did not utter a word.
This went on for a day... and then 2 days and then 3 days.
Finally on the 4th day, the parrot could not hold back any longer and said... "OK, I give up. Where's the fekking ship?"

Tuesday: Yet more digging - I moved my strawberries last autumn and the ground where they were for the last few years is full of couchgrass and bindweed, both of which have extensive root systems that need to be removed from the soil by hand to stop new plants forming, which will grow from the smallest of root pieces left in the ground. Hence very, very slow work.
Listened to Stranger In Town (twice), Eagles, One Of These Nights and On The Border (twice).
Watched first three episodes of White House Farm.

I used to drink McEwans bitter (22p a pint) or, preferably, McKewans Export at 25p/pint in my village playing field club back in 1978, when a packet of Embassy Reds was about 28p a packet!
The Champion is a bottled 7.3% dark bitter available in Lidls Shane. Will watch the Cure video after Midnight Run.

Way we've been playing I might even get a game even though I've turned 60!

Saturday: Almost finished digging while listening to Layla And Other Assorted Lovesongs. One more session on Monday morning I reckon.
Watched Littlewoods Cup Final 1988 on the LTFC website in the afternoon. Luton 3 Arsenal 2...the greatest football match I have ever been to; even better than being at 1983's Man City 0 Luton 1 (although the latter was of more long term importance in that we stayed in the top division a further nine years on the back of winning at Maine Road).

Watching Rocket Man this evening.

Nearly finished reading 'Rogues' a 2014 collection of 21 short stories. Very good ones by Joe Abercrombie and Matt Hughes. Have yet to read the Neil Gaiman and G R R Martin ones. Very disappointed with the Scott Lynch one, considering he has written my all time favourite novel 'The Lies Of Locke Lamora'. Think either the Springsteen or Elton John autobiography is next up.

Glorious day out the Arsenal game
Group of us with huge England flag to the left of one of the goals
Never seen it since - must try harder
Had Ex tape it then she stuck Eastenders over it a few weeks later
Made up for the 'easy' cup final few weeks before- Simod Cry
Took her to it
Outplayed, outfanned
Don't think we ever won a game when she came Laugh
By:

When: 26 Apr 20 20:34
Yeah...Simod was awful. Hot favs and lost 4-1 to Reading. Gilkes scored a hat-trick?
FA Cup Semi at White Hart Lane same season was even worse though. Favs to beat Wimbledon and totally outplayed.
The 1985 semi at Villa Park broke my heart...we were underdogs to Everton but outplayed them for 90 mins yet lost 2-1 in extra time.
1994 semi v Chelsea at Wembley (on the day Minniehoma won the National) was another disappointment, losing 2-0 to Chelsea (although they were so much better than us that 5-0 would have been a fairer score).
Sunday: Still ended up digging but this time in the garden for she who must be obeyed.
Had a Dandy Warhols morning and listened to Dandys Rule OK, Thirteen Tales... and Odditorium...
Questionmaster for a family quiz again in the afternoon.
Watching Countryfile, Antiques Roadshow and Killing Eve this evening. Recording Van Der Valk.
Stay safe.

LTFC memories Grin
Some classics there to remember & view again - maybe

Everton was another great day out - apart from result
Atmosphere electric, crowd rocking. Should have been ours
Funny memory of the day still sticks with me
All the fans buying flags on the way to ground
Only for the police to confiscate them on trying to get into ground
Don't get me started on the old first division pasting teams 6's & 7's every week
Still hanging onto programmes of that era for some reason
Nostalgia ain't what it used to be Laugh
By:

I have a loft full of programmes going back to the 1967-68 Division 4 winners season when you had the actual Luton leaflet inside a magazine called the Football League Review I think?
Haven't bothered with buying programmes for many years now but have never felt able to throw all my old ones away (I also have about 30 years worth of Chelt, Aintree and R Ascot S Lifes & R Posts if anyone wants them!).
Went 67'68 to 73/74. Then missed a couple of seasons when my grandad/dad stopped going and I wasn't old enough to drive.
Then went to virtually every home game from 76/77 to 91/92 and also visited 30 odd grounds following them around the country.
Marriage and kids then much reduced my visits for a few years until my son was old enough to become keen to go.
Have attended regularly since 2002 although usually only half a dozen games per season.
Having said that, I became a season ticket holder again two years ago, as is my son (we're behind the goal in the Kenny End).

Anyway - Monday: Finished digging last little bit of allotment but then spent several hours digging back garden.
Listened to The Free Story (twice). Then went for a Dinosaur Jr session and played Farm, I Bet On Sky, Get A Glimpse Of What Yer Not and Hand It Over (Where You Been is still their best one though).
Toss-up between Godzilla or Men In Black 4 at 21:00 tonight.
