Nine strike it rich on the first of July, led from the rear by betme, who notched a scrumptious 6/1 on Nafa in the last race of the day. Sewper!

elvissss, the star who sings like a snake, sits in second on a 7/2 opener,

while three intrepid marksmen scored with 3/1 shots,

in the process totally ruining my plans for what I was going to write.

As you may have noticed, we have a bumper crop of new entrants. Well some of them are actually returnees, but they're new to me, except of course for Trusty - good to see you back Mr T - and zipper, same again Mr Z. Among them, I was informed by a former inhabitant of this parish, are a couple of gentlemen who believe, and I shuddder as I repeat the quotation, "this tipping game's easy". OMG! So I was rather hoping they'd come a cropper so I could launch a stern lecture on the perils of taking this game too lightly. But I see one of them - no names, no pack drill, protect the guilty etc, but I'm told he's a right Herbert - is also sitting in the winners' enclosure. Fair enuf. There's still 30 days to go matey!

Actually, I see another new kid on the block, Stevie Gerrard, shot and scored today with a useful 11/8 number. Very tattyfilarious!

Anyway, well done you winners.

Good to see some old friends also return from on high. A little surprising to see them back, but I understand only too well how these things can happen (ie nothing bl**dy wins!). Still, you know it's much better here than up among all those pimply people eh?
