Sorry blue, you did post a selection ...

... but if was invalid.

If you read my first message to you, and then take in your reply, you will understand that you have continued to operate with a daily instruction for first race favourite. The first race today was at 2pm. That means any live daily post by you needed to have been made by 1pm at the latest, or the instruction kicks in. The time of your post was 2.58pm, making it an invalid selection. That's one of the drawbacks of having first race fav if you are likely to be unable to post in the morning. So a lot of people choose last race favourite instead to be on the safe side, which you are of course free to do.

Dunno wot you're complaining about or why I'm being sorry though - the instruction WON! I'd quit while I was ahead if I was you!

Drama eh? Mind you, there was precious little other drama about today, not that I got to notice much anyway as Timeform did their level best to screw things up again!

What a shower!

Top man today was another newcomer petemac with the 3/1 Tregaro hauling him up seven places to sit in a transportation slot - so soon! That's a great start pete, hope it's the first of many to come.

But madhatter is truly off and running in the lead, following yesterday's success with the 7/4 Calaf. He said as he posted that it was "all downhill from here!" Pricewise a tad yes, and, not knowing Ayr that well, possibly the course as well. But here he is very upwardly mobile indeed. I like to think it must be something about this div that especially inspires him!

Well done to to dukeofpuke who rises five spots with the 15/8 Ebble to take second place. Popular nag that. The other two wins come by dint of instructions that backed it, Weaver Fish taking fourth and, as you will see above, bluenose7 accidentally finding himself the beneficiary of a two place rise.

What happened to ole bluenose is a cautionary tale for everyone who has instructions. If your post isn't in an hour before the time of the instruction race it will count for nothing. You have been warned.
