Surely Eminem wouldn't touch XF with a bargepole. OK, so he's not the force he once was - but I can't see him wanting to damage his street cred to such a degree!

Cheers for all the updates Sq. Presumably they'll announce at 2:00 who all the duets will be
Would be amazed if Eminem did XF mind. |

Robbie was on it last year so would they have him back again? Of all the people you could ask you have the same guy who did it (and failed miserably) last year.

Clear not enough Columbian to help him perform to his optimum!
More, I say! Aside, he & Take That are the main guests on the Late Late Show tomorrow night. |

Show boss Simon Cowell has ordered The X Factor 2010 finalists to ‘raise their game’ ahead on this weekend’s grand final. According to The Mirror, Cowell wants everything to be perfect on Saturday and Sunday’s shows, and has scheduled extra rehearsals to make sure it all goes well.
“Simon made it clear everything has to be perfect,” a source told the newspaper. “He wants everything to run like clockwork, especially after the controversy last weekend. We are all in doing a full day and night on Friday now as well as working flat-out all weekend. “He told the singers and us to raise our game for the final. It will be exhausting but we can pull it off.” Saturday’s show will see one of the final four contestants – Cher Lloyd, Matt Cardle, One Direction and Rebecca Ferguson – eliminated from the show before a winner is crowned on Sunday’s instalment. Saturday’s show will also see the final 16 reunited for another group performance. The source added: We’ve got lots of big names and big numbers on stage so it is going to be a nightmare to fit everyone in and accommodate all the dressing room space. “People are really looking forward to Take That coming back on the show, but to be honest they are not so happy about seeing Wagner again. “He caused a lot of problems, so we just hope he is on his best behaviour this time around and doesn’t clash with Matt or anyone else backstage.” |

One Direction will release a cover of ‘Forever Young’ if they win The X Factor 2010 this weekend, it has been claimed. As previously reported on TellyMix, this year it’s said that each of the contestants will record an individual winner’s song rather than all of them recording the same track.
In previous years all of the final four contestants have recorded the same song, with the very last two finalists performing it on the very last live show. This year it’s understood however that the top two or three contestants will each perform their own winner’s song, suited to their voice and talents. One Direction’s song is said to be a cover of ‘Young Forever’ by Jay-Z, certainly not your typical winner’s song . A source close to the group who claims to have heard the track revealed: “Liam [Payne], Harry [Styles] and Niall [Horan] sing most of the lyrics. Louis [Tomlinson] and Zayn [Malik] don’t have any solos on the track.” They added: “Zayn does have some Oohs and Ahhs though.” |

This weekend the contestants will sing a number of tracks, including a celebrity duet, their original audition song and their favourite performance from the series.
Currently Cher Lloyd is said to be dueting with either Avril Lavigne or, more likely, Cheryl’s friend will.i.am. It’s rumoured will.i.am and Cher could well be singing Cheryl Cole’s track ’3 words’ together. Meanwhile Cher’s original audition song will be ‘Turn My Swag On;. Rebecca Ferguson will be performing ‘A change is Gonna Come’ by Sam Cooke for her audition track, while it’s said she’ll be dueting with Christina Aguilera singing ‘Beautiful’. Matt Cardle is set to sing with Rihanna for one track, and reprise his performance of Amy Winehouse’s ‘No Good’ as his original audition song. One Direction are rumoured to be singing with either Justin Bieber, Robbie Williams or Take That as a whole. The group is said to be singing ‘Never Forget’ with Take That, although other rumours have hinted towards a collaboration with teen sensation Justin Bieber. As the group were formed at bootcamp they don’t have an audition track, so it’s likely they’ll be singing ‘Torn’ by Natalie Imbruglia from judges’ houses. Note: Due to the way the eliminations will work, not all of the contestants will get the chance to perform all of their songs! On Sunday Take That are currently confirmed to be performing on the show! |

The X Factor 2010 judge Louis Walsh has blasted show finalist Cher Lloyd, calling her a brat and unlikeable! The Irish music manager made his comments ahead of Saturday’s final to BBC Radio 1‘s Newsbeat show, telling them that he wouldn’t want to manage the 17-year-old.
Louis said: “Cher is a bit of a brat. She’s acting like she’s already a star. She’s in a competition, you know.” He added: “I bet she’s voted out first this week.” 17-year-old Cher will compete against Rebecca Ferguson, Matt Cardle and One Direction this weekend to win The X Factor 2010. Unfortunately for Cher, the bookies seem to agree with Louis – currently predicting the youngster will be the first to be eliminated during Saturday’s show. While Louis did admit that Cher was talented, he also said: “She’s not the most likeable person in the world. She’s very watchable, but she’d probably be a nightmare for me to manage.” |

So, just for the purposes of clarity, we now have the following:
Matt - 'No Good', probably 'The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face' and duet with Rihanna (tbc) Rebecca - 'A Change Is Gonna Come', probably 'Make You Feel My Love' and 'Beautiful' duet with Christina Aguilera Cher - 'Turn My Swag On', favourite performance tbc, plus 'Three Words' duet with will.i.am One Direction - 'Torn', favourite performance tbc, plus 'Never Forget' with Take That Not a bad show to be fair... |

If One D do get to perform with Take That, could this backfire as TT are so clearly more talented in terms of their vocal ability and stage presence (especially now Rob is back). Reb with CA is a much better match up as Reb will clealry be able to trade blows re her vocals

Only one going on saturday?
They're really dragging out the agony. |

sorry just to add, I have seen it confirmed that TT will perform on the Sunday, if this is true, does that make it less likely that they will also appear on the Sat?

OT, Stacey coming up on TM soon.

dizzy, do they defintiely sing two old songs - ie their audition track and another they have already sung???? if this is the case it doesnt give too many new opportunities to dazzle. it also detracts from the show imo. not good news...
but probably good news for matt, because it reduced the opportuities for the opposition to provide the knockout blow |

Beautiful will be the knockout blow Nick! [;)]

When will someone post Rebecca's runner's up song?
I heard on Digital Pies there's a bloke who lives next door to the Daily Star 'man in the know's' next door neighbour's pen friend. Who reckons that when he saw Simon whispering to louis on the grassy knole it was 'The Catcher in the Rye' wot made him do it so 'Bermuda Triangle' and 'The Scoolbook Depository Building' will be the double b side Rebecca's bringing out with this, her second and last single which will become her signature tune as she's signing on with all the other Scousers ' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zT_JS5-KD08&feature=related |

The winners songs being different for each act this year, could have a bigger than usual influence on who wins.
I have to say I'm not keen on Matt's, but I would say that wouldn't I. |

I assume we won't get to hear all four of them this weekend? Maybe three at the most?

They don't like me picking the winner almost EVERY year. And still winning a nice few bob the year mine come second at 1/7 "I was dreaming of the past" .......................... |

There's a nice narrative building for Rebecca.
The shy unconfident Rebecca hoping ' A Change is going to come' Then the 'sisterly' nature of singing Beautiful with Christina - "Cause we are beautiful no matter what say, Yes words won't bring us down" Ending with 'Feeling Good' The audience will be in tears by the end. |

Fig, have always maintained that if you remove the singing aspect of the competition (as this is clearly of lesser importance) then Rebecca has the perfect "and they all lived happilly ever after story..."
The dark X Factor with all it's twisted judges and contestants, are saved by the lovely shining Princess Rebecca |
|
By:
she'll be singing "a change is gonna come" in the final too. a hugely poignant song, particularly in the US.

should contrast nicely with matt covering a song by the country's most famous heroic addict.

Does anyone remember the XF FINAL Shayne Ward won? I didn't trade a penny until the day of the final....but i had tracked the show throughout. Backed Journey South with a view to trade.. They simply murdered their first song ...off key the whole time. Had never missed a note for 8 weeks until the final. 3.1 at the opening credits.....5.8 after the song finished. I was that MUG ![]() |
