He'll have another go I'll bet

But the novelty factor won't work

He'd be far better helping Aiden, who could improve greatly with Cowell support

Anything is possible in this show.
She could be seen as an anti 'fix' hysteria vote.
I might even vote for her.

Yep, the vast majority of punters take no notice of my stats or anything on this forum for that matter, so in market this big it has no real effect on the market.

I'm sure you'll still be able to get 50/1 on matt to go come sunday ;)

agree figgy, but there;s still some fuel in the wagner charge and besides katies its a lotto for bottom two.  if katie were to avoid it there;s going to be two screamers battling it out

Very important point that, about punters taking no notice of this forum. I agree and it's good, I've always felt that I (and all of us) can be honest here and it won't effect the market anyway.

Sometimes of course there are popular trains that move the market just from us forumites getting involved, but generally it's a good place to exchange views without knock on effect.

Nothing too exciting this week, except Rebecca above Matt for the 1st time :)

At the bottom Katie looks fvcked. Waggy or Paije to join her

1D 424 (+74)

Rebecca 291 (+38)

Matt 283 (-219)

Aiden 122 (-33)

Cher 112 (+50)

Mary 70 (-4)

Wagner 41 (-27)

Paije 32 (-43)

Katie 12 (-2)

Been sharing Lou's wife tonight. Honestly I think she is quite good

It has no effect on the market btw

That Katie figure looks surprisingly low to me, even though I backed her to go earlier! Presume that is filtered for 'only positive' tweets though? Really hoping you're right with Paije below Waggy though, as Paije going would be an even bigger payday for me.

who pretends to be a jack the lad.

Don't think his background matters one iota. Everyone within a 100 miles of London seems to speak estuary essex patois these days. Bit like Blade Runner innit?

If the masses can buy bucket loads of james blunt records they sure won't baulk at picking up the phone for Le Chapeau.

I've ended up going for Waggy.
My stats have underestimated Paije's support before and with Waggy on the decline he looks bet.
There's also a very decent chance he'd go against Katie, whereas we could have riots if Katie knocked out another good singer like Paije.

I've also had a punt on Aiden as I feel his support is vastly overstated in a similar way to Lloyds last year.
He is this years teenage heartthrob (along with 1D) and it's hard to find support for him outside of teenage girls wanting to marry him

At the top, although for me Rebecca wasn't as good as the previous 2 weeks, she still consolidated her support (she's gone from 67 the 1st week to 293 this.) and with Cowell in her corner still looks the likeliest winner.

Much as I respect your judgement, fll, I find it hard to agree with your comments re. Aiden. Apart from the superficial good looks that might appeal to the teenage market, he is as far removed from Lloyd as it is possible to be. Lloyd was difficult to like as a potential recording artist whereas Aiden has wide crossover appeal. Lloyd would have struggled to interpret anything in his own way, whereas Aiden's major fault seems to be that he insists on interpreting everything he is given in his own style. That, as well as being a fault, is possibly his major advantage with the discerning viewer. He has more originality (dare I say integrity?) than any previous act on this show and I would suggest that will serve him well in the future. Whether the discerning viewer would be inclined to vote in this particular show, however, is open to question.

Yeah this reflects a lot of my thoughts fll. I'm red on wagner but not sure thats a good place to be. Gut feeling is this is about the time when the joke candidate goes. Aiden similarly; we haven't had a shocker yet though it could just as easily be Mary though she probably did just enough last night to get the loose women voters off their sofas and on to the phones.

Aidan also getting included in bottom 2 combos by youngsters on twitter which is ominous for him.

Re Rebecca not sure consolidation is enough.

Paije vs Katie = Katie
Paije vs Waggy = Waggy
Waggy vs Katie = Waggy

Given these scenarios Paije stays, imo he only goes if there is a surprise b2 entrant.

A bet for Katie is akin to a bet for Waggy to beat Paije and Paije dropping in b2.

Waggy was even worse for me this week the joke has emptied completely now. It's not a surprise to see a further drop in your stats fll, he represents very good value imo.

The other scenario for paije going of course is deadlock and pv. I'd be pretty confident katie would be bottom of pv. Unlikely but possible as biffa would go for katie obviously and cowell could easily go for her again over paije.
By:

When: 14 Nov 10 11:30
For that the hatchet job would have had to have had enough effect to cause Paije to have flipped with Katie. I see this as unlikely.
By:

When: 14 Nov 10 11:36
Yes i struggle to see a scenario where Paije goes. So why am I green on him Confused
By:

When: 14 Nov 10 11:39
I wouldn't be certain Paije would stay over anyone, but he's surely be the outsider to go against Waggy & Katie. So I agree Waggy the better value as he's more likely to go if he's B2.

alley - I agree Aiden appeals to the more discerning viewer, but there aren't many of them and even fewer who would vote.
The vast majority of viewers just want some easy saturday night listening and Aiden doesn't provide that.
So he's only really left with the teenage girl vote. Much like Lloyd.

George - When you've quadrupled your vote over the last 5 weeks, consolidation is exactly what's called for.
She has a very similar, slow but steady growth in fans, as Alexandra and Joe did and I expect Leona had.

Matt on the otherhand went in way ahead and hasn't really built on it, except for the sharp rise when he sang the bootcamp song.

any thoughts about a massive bounce for  katie given the bottom two for the last two weeks?  hear some neutrals are even voting for her?

two scenarios so.  waggy paige bottom two, waggy goes

katie paige bottom two, goes to deadlock but paige is actually bottom

think there might be another week left in the waggy express myself
By:
stu
When: 14 Nov 10 11:53
Waggy v Paije - reasonable chance of a deadlock there IMO. 'Everyone complained last week when we didn't put it to deadlock so this week.....' etc
By:
Cider
When: 14 Nov 10 11:53
circa 95% of voters will believe Katie should have gone last week. There's no basis for a bounce, really.
By:
platinni
When: 14 Nov 10 11:59
waggy v paige and waggy goes.  cheryl and simon both vote off waggy

might be right cider, my evidence is anecdotal Happy
