Great write up (pictures and presentation), brutal tipping. I really can't see the problem with people highlighting this....in fact I think it's useful and helpful do so.

I said this on another thread, but since you have persisted, I'll say it again:
I've been contributing - if that's the right word - to this forum since it first started, and in all that time Marychain has been here, helping people with his analysis of various sports and doing the research for those people who can't be bothered to do it themselves. There's no denying he's had a bad tournament with his tips. We've all got it wrong occasionally, but there has to be an element of caveat emptor whenever you back anything tipped up by someone else. The fact remains though that Marychain has a very good record in all types of sport with his tips on here over a very long period, and if I were the sort of person who took other people's views as gospel and had followed all his tips, I'd be prepared to forgive him a bad World Cup. I really don't know why you feel the need to start such a thread, but to be honest it reflects more badly on you than his incorrect views on this World Cup reflect on him. |

You must have a different understanding of the word 'advice' to me mate.
Evidence? This is not a court of law, all I know is what I said above. Marychain has been a valuable member of this forum for at least a decade as far as I'm aware - I can remember him posting many decent tips, but I can't remember him ever starting a thread to gloat over someone's bad calls. |

the difference, as has been pointed out by the OP, is that I apologized to most/all the folk who I had criticized regarding my comments about Rodgers. If mary came on and said he was wrong in every one of his circa 15 tips including a couple of shorties then we wouldn't have to warn the public about him.

why the over-reaction? no one has said he should stop posting, no one has said his tips haven't been good in the past.
Fact remains when someone makes 20 odd predictions and all of them fail, a light should be cast upon it, irrespective of past performance. Especially if he hasn't bothered to come on and hold his hands up over his humiliating performance, which I think most of us would have done. |
