'light should be cast upon it' Why? Did you pay for the service? Is it a source of national outrage? Has it adversely affected your life? Why on earth would the thoughts of an anonymous man you have never met require an inquiry?

as humorous as it may seem to some, "public protection"

Had a few spats with marychain, mostly me pulling his leg and him failing to realise it, but it's apparent to anyone with half a brain cell, recently failed tips or not, he knows what he's talking about when it comes to betting and sport in general, but in particular Cycling which I detest with a passion for reasons I can't be bothered to go into

Creating a thread highlighting terrible bets is comical when the poster is asking for it and timing is right, as with comedy in general, I do it myself and have had it done to me but to highlight his bets in this fashion given the sheer amount of effort he's put in in the write ups is nothing short of retarded and only makes you look the loser. Why would he show his face to answer to people who are just waiting here reading to laugh in itCrazy

Nonsense. Marychain is a bit up himself, hence his failure to reappear and confront his failures.

Peeple with lives don't usually go to the time or effort to import pictures and graphics into previews on here in my expeience.  As pretty as they are.

Plus he still has time to chat away on the Cycling forum.

It is similar behaviour to the likes of Judopr1ck;  never reappears on a losing thread. If there had been a winner, he is first on to congratulate himself.

I'm not usually one to get involved with these things and generally keep myself to myself.

However MaryChain is one of the guys who plainly puts in work and analysis with his suggestions and they are upto you if you agree or disagree with them.

As Mes says his cycling analysis is a good read and whilst I don't generally follow his tips, I use the basic premise based upon his info which I find helpful.

The diligence he applies to his football tips is also with solid foundation.  Again you follow these or you don't...sometimes i do.  Sometimes they come in, sometimes they don't...that's life.

And as you say it's easy to rib someone on here and for it to be misconstrued.

That said MC is one of the people on here whose opinion I respect and is a decent sounding bloke IMO..

Good luck today

100+ man hours of "amateurish" analysis/reviews/reports for the WC...I am going to have to say that your proposition is flawed.

Week-in, week-out during the regular season Marychain puts up decent bets at a price such as teams to win by more than two goals and alike... maybe it's a case of form is temporary, class is permanent...

Charlton2005 - obviously a "fisherman" - and a sh1t one at that.

Easy to knock people when you don't present your own analysis / predictions.

Are you a Charlton Athletic supporter, Charlty?

For someone who does that week in week out it is astonishing that when I went looking for the evidence, the first thread I came across was the one where he tipped Liverpool for the title at 1/6, yet couldn't find anything that he tipped that actually won...

trilby22 - he may well be a Charlton Athletic supporter but it's safe to assume by his username that he was born in South-East London nine years ago... Laugh

An example of a tip where Marychain actually won for the benefit of iprefertolaycharlton2005...

Shall we get back to talking about betting on football?

I fancy some high scoring away wins today (win + BTTS prices)
Sheff United 5/1 Grinor (12/1)Grin
Sheff Weds 20/23 Sad or (27/10) Sad
Coventry 19/10 Grin or (15/4) Grin
Huddersfield 20/23 Grinor (29/10) Grin
Peterborough Evens Sad or (5/2) Sad
Leicester 12/5 Sad or (11/2) Sad

The brave might fancy joining me in a win + BTTS trixie on Sheff United, Coventry and Leicester at 12/1, 15/4 and 11/2 respectively.

There you go. I'm not bothered about any of the "naive forumites" as you call them ken. If any of them came in with me they cleared up. £10 trixie produced winners at 12/1 and 15/4 and returned £617.50.

Only just seen this thread. Hold my hands up, absolute shyte. If anyone followed then I apologise.

In my defence on the spreadsheets which seem to have received particular criticism they did were not analysing anything or saying who to back, merely saying who played where, how far they had to travel and what the conditions were like in each location. This was an effort saving tool for other people to use, nothing more.

Those of you who said the whole preview thread was a waste of time and effort are spot on. It is a mistake I won't make again. I'm not going to resign from the forum in a fit of pique or anything as dramatic, I will just be spending more time doing other things instead.

For those of you who care (probably no-one) I am doing Stage 18 of the Tour de France (145km through the Pyrenees) to raise money for Brain Tumour Research, it's the Etape du Tour on 20th July.

I would put up the link for my justgiving site but asking for money on the back of 20/20 losing tips seems somewhat callous. If anyone wants to donate you can pm me and I will give you the link.

Anyway, thanks for the discussion and the banter, catch you all anon

Fully deserved imo

Advised Liverpool for the title at 1/6

I did not advise anything on that thread, that is a barefaced lie

for my money i found the MC spread sheets useful.
Opposing or at least not backing the big name Euro teams in northern brazil saved me some heartache
Salut MC!
