Draw from here is brutal too, with pretty much only top players left.

from here
Osaka/Ryba next
then Coco/Mirra/Iva
then likely Sabalenka but if not if will still be a really good player

If you look at the other top 8 seeds and who they've got or had here at this stage

Sabalenka (1) v Townsend
Rybakina (2) v Osaka
Pegula (3) v Cirstea
Gauff (4) v Jovic
Andreeva (5) v Potapova
Noskova (6) v Kostyuk
Muchova (7) out

Apart from Ryba, Iga's had the short straw here having to face a qualifier of Zheng's calibre, peaked at 4th in the world.

Though I was surprised to see the crushing h2h record, Iga 6-1 Zheng, excluding United Cup rubbish

Pottypova like a mad woman with the way she's playing, just going for it full pelt on every shot, will burn herself out if it goes to 3 sets and lose.

Infantino has already been putting the feelers out there, said a while ago no Russian team in competitions isn't achieving anything, if football folds, the rest will follow.

hate the way 365 just point blank ends the stream, can't even  enjoy Zhengs celebration, which looked a bit over the top

Don't think it was over the top considering the occasion and her journey here !

Overend will come off pretty shrewd if Blockx is hindered here.

more doubles muggery. established pairing and third seeds arevalo and pavic getting turned over by a pair that as far as I can see only started playing together at this tournament. doubles. the place where **** players go to try and scratch a living

who are more annoyed now, Cerundolo backers about his mugging or Blockx backers about the market?
By:
TheCarambaExperience
When: 07 Sep 26 19:49
let's say you backed Cerundolo at the MTO thinking he'll be alright then despite holding he goes from evens to 2.6
By:

Blockx backers I think as they don't deserve this injury so early on, where as Fran backers know what they're getting with him Laugh

Pre match Blockx backers* I was referring too
By:

When: 07 Sep 26 19:51
I think anyone backing him at 2.0 at that changeover is crazy as really hardly any great edge unless he was totally fine and the first few points told you you were screwed even if he held and should have been punished more had Fran taken the game.
