did not realise Joint's record this year was so bad, won 3 and lost 15, that's almost unheard of, has been injured at times but still.

if I didn't know any better, I would think that she has literally been Hand Picked to play Serena Plain

Certainly the top level players have no reason to moan, especially with the extras they make, although costs with all the extra coaches and advisors must be extreme, but I guess for anyone outside the top 100/200 it could be more dificult.

actually at mp at 5-2 so even worse, hopefully it's not too serious

I still feel bad for Boisson after she couldn't get much benefit out of her FO points cos of injury

Why is Casper Ruud so hopeless on grass? Does he simply not bother to improve on it since the season is so short?

he once said grass is for Golf and he prepares for Wimbledon by playing Golf

I think in general when grass conditions are normal and the court is not baked out, it just suits the more aggressive big hitting, faster players, Ruud's more about hitting heavy topspin shots, those shots sit up more off of grass and just helps returners have more time to hit back rather than what flat shots on grass do. He's a clayer, they're more tactical, grass is not really for tactical players, might have done better in the serve and volley era where you had to be less one dimensional, same with Iga who also hits with a million rpm's, of course clay like conditions last year helped her out here.

also think psychologically when someone tells themselves they're no good on a particular surface, they've lost before they've begun.

Definitely has the wrong mindset and not reaching his potential on this surface. Not like he doesn't have the game and ability to cope with plenty on the tour.

sure, I don't see him having the success on grass as he does on clay for the reasons you say, but there is also no reason why he should be a complete mug.

yeah his record should be better, he barely plays any warm up grass event either, he just doesn't care for the surface

I was literally just about to say that if Serena hadn't of come back, Big Stan Wawrinka in his last ever Wimbledon would have probably been given Centre Court as a send off match against Berrettini, who is a former finalist here as well so would be a worthy match on the main show court, now that Draper's out they can move him over to centre.

I love Rublev through and through but he really is a very limited ball basher.
