*petition for player's to have their extra racquets where their towels are*
that way I don't have to worry about them tapping when all they are doing is going to their bench to change racquets. |

Krejcikova in a slight spot of bother now.

Ah well, this way Krejcikova and Siegemund can concentrate on winning the doubles.

PR is so weird. Krunic here despite having played quite a lot of tennis in the past 10 months and currently being ranked #471.

This is what you have to deal with when playing a Frenchie in Paris?

Thought at first it was going to be a clip of Kasatkina playing with Trevisan's frenchie.

David Pastrnak scoring Czechia to the title simply calls for a post linking to former forumite's nofx's favourite violinist and singer, who probably happen's to be David's sister or something. |

Heard Atmane should have been defaulted but was let off.

I don't think he ever actually said this would be his final season or final RG.
|
|
By:
that's why I said probably. I don't see him hanging around for another 12 months if he plays like he has been so far this clay season.
|

What a massive wasted opportunity for Niemeier this was today.
Led 3-0 and 4-1 in the final set and had break points to lead 4-0 and 5-1 respectively. Instead she is going to lose 4-6. |
|
By:
Or maybe not.
|
|
By:
Had break point for 5-5 and ultimately loses because she plays a short ball into Wang's racquet.
...She's had some unfortunate losses this season. At the AO that unfathomably awful smash on match point, the loss against Riera in the Wiesbaden final (6-3,3-0), against Schmiedlova (match points).....now this. |
|
By:
now Ofner and Atmane did a hug after all that.

That's men. They have war, they call for each other's disqualification, but after it's all over they hug it out.

Thoughts on Zverev v Nadal match, not sure how Zverez plays on this surface against the top dog on this surface but just coming back from injury. Normally only watch tennis at slams.
|
|
By:
All logic points to Zverev. But Rafa is Rafa and has come back from the dead before.
|
|
By:
It's a match with a few question marks for me, but I think it's a somewhat fair price. Zverev won the Rome Masters in the most recent big clay tournament prior to Roland Garros, but he generally hasn't been in eye watering form during the clay season and didn't have to beat anyone of note in Rome. He also has had some tendencies in the past to have trouble finding his way into slams (i.e. struggled against players he should be beating easily).
If not for Zverev's own struggles for form, I'd think the price would actually be on the high side against a Nadal who has shown little during this clay season that he can still compete with the best on the surface, which Zverev belongs to. Another question mark is Nadal's fitness and ability to go the a long distance. Total unknown to me as he simply hasn't played any long matches in a while, but I'd lean towards him not being able to do it. As for the match up itself: Zverev has a negative head to head with Nadal, but he has beaten him on clay (fast altitude clay in Madrid) and also ran him close for two sets at their latest encounter at Roland Garros. Sadly Zverev ruptured every ligament in one of his ankles during the second set tiebreak. Zverev generally likes playing left handers as his backhand is his far better wing, especially when it comes to returning. ....All that said.....as SamuelMertensBertens wrote.....it is Rafa Nadal at Roland Garros (and I think this reputation is another reason that keeps the price higher than maybe it should be on level of play and match up) |
|
By:
Thanks for the reply lads, I was thinking when i seen the odds on this match that zverev looked a very good here one of the top rated players around, Nadal injury and age factor looks a bit to much to deal with Zverev but thought i would make sure my thinking was correct with some other points of view who watch tennis a lot more than me.
