anger is a lack of understanding. change makes people uncomfortable. |

WTA liking the attention imo. Biggest story a WTA story.
By:
Naomi also loving the attention and the drama.

Doesn't even use capitals when writing. Such a Gen Z'er.
By:
People who don't use capital letters are the very worst.

She's probably a year too early with this faux boycott.
The mental health box hasn't been fully ticked yet, but it's coming make no mistake. |
By:
Naomi will have anticipated this move by the Grand Slams

Very interesting ......
By:
Naomi must be so mad at her sister now.
By:
Since Mari confirmed that the issue is what most of us thought it was from the beginning, not wanting questions about clay.
By:
And that makes sense that Naomi wants to block out the negativity, it just rubs we the wrong way when she uses the term mental health here as there are lots of people suffering from real mental health issues that goes further than being bothered about being asked about questions about a particular tennis surface.
By:
I would estimate 99% of people would kill to have the "mental health" problems of pro tennis players (or any pro ateletes in any sport).
By:
I'm sure some of them have real problems like the rest of us, and I can't say for sure that Naomi doesn't, but when she cancels press for her least favorite Slam, it makes it look it's just not wanting to be asked about poor clay preparations etc, and when she uses the mental health buzzword it will be harder for other athletes to be taken seriously when they are having proper mental health issues.

Iga is some best fried.

By:
she clarified it was about her being poor on clay. Naomi was vague and using buzz words.
By:
A career in politics awaits then
![]() |
By:
she'd have to deal with press conferences.
By:
So just turn up, smile, and answer every question you don't want to answer with "that's a very interesting question, I'll need to think about that". Job done.
By:
Question for you in the know. Why is the mens OR market trading at over 100% quite often. Are there some withdrawals pending that we are unaware of?
By:
All she has to say to those moronic journos is, "Do you watch much tennis? "It's normal for players to have conditions which suit them much better than others, including court surfaces. It was okay for Pete Sampras on clay, and it was okay for Ivan Lendl on grass, it didn't stop them from being champions, didn't stop them being No.1, and didn't stop them from dominating their sport". "I'll be fine, next question"

By:
Did Juvan actually say yes to that request, TV moved away immediately after conclusion.
By:
Of course it's classic slam time when it's show every Brit possible.
By:
It's who the general public want to see, is it not?
By:
I don't know, Bartoli sang I got that ringing in my ears and everything went sort of black after that
By:
Andreescu mugging a 3-0 lead....
By:
I mean, it does look good on her, but just because you got yourself that haircut doesn't mean you're suddenly Marilyn Monroe
By:
Yer apparently Bartoli sang instead, so seems Juvan was wise.
