Hey wisey, do you think that based on their maybe a pre agreement ? Surely Tommy is a better boxer of the 2. He can unleash combos that Jake has not yet to face.

I agree if it goes the distance that Paul is likely to get a more biased set of scorecards.

I base that mainly on Tommy not being that good, and lacking punching power. It's only an opinion though. I thought this 2 weeks ago and I haven't changed my opinion based on anything  I saw this week

Tommy couldn't put a dent into Anthony Taylor. this is certainly going to be an interesting fight and not one with lots of public information to base an opinion on. I haven't been in Tommy's sparring sessions for this. would have loved to be there in Bolton to form an opinion based off these

in my head, it doesn't seem that crazy if Jake stops Tommy Happy

It really is, been looking forward to it. Thought we see it different. I am thinking Fury by KO/TKO is a huge price still. Lumped on at 4.0

Had Fury well ahead. He schooled him. I should have bet points but went big on the knock out. Paul has a good chin and has mastered the art of continuous grappling so half the fight isn't actually active. Oh well!

Tricky one SMB. In usual circumstances it would be WAY too short. But Jake's fights so far have been suspicious, to say the least. For all the animosity you see between Jake and Tommy on the screen, I have seen a few bits of footage which suggest these two actually get on pretty well. A draw would be a brilliant result really for both men. Would set up a rematch and give Tommy, who is now a new father, a chance for another 7 figure pay day (something he will never achieve off his actual talent) and give Paul serious credibility and another chance for a close to 8 figure pay day as the noise around this fight is the highest I've ever seen for a fight of this ilk. The fist biggest fight of this ilk (Logan vs KSI) also went to a strange draw. If it is a fair fight, then Tommy Fury by KO/TKO or DQ at 3.75 would represent serious value.

Yeah, that all makes sense. I just figured if they were gonna fix it, they were gonna give Paul the win to maintain a perfect record, and if no shenanigans the draw would be way underpriced. But yes, I did underestimate the rematch angle. And that looks likely even with the result we got. Bring it on!

Final result (here):
Market
Start time    Settled date    Profit/Loss (€)
Boxing / Jake Paul v Tommy Fury : Match Odds
26-Feb-23 22:30    26-Feb-23 23:08    -219,934.31

Guess I don't have to worry about premium charge anytime soon.

I underestimated his chin, that was all. It was very enjoyable spectacle and I enjoyed the build up. Look forward to the rematch. Any chance they can extend it to 12 rounds or is that against the rules?! Happy

no, €. I was sweating just as the fight was starting because I did so many last minute arbs and was worried I had messed up somewhere along the way.
Ran out of money so had to keep depositing which added to the stress, cause every one took 15 mins to go through.

is Jake Paul naturally a jerk or just playing the villain role very well? "I got sick several times during my camp which hurt my preparation. But I'm not making any excuses".
Crowd: "BOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!" And same reaction when he gave his opinion on the judges.

Doubt Tommy would want 12 rounds. he was blowing hard after the 7th!
By:

Jake loves playing the villain, and the crowd were pro Fury. Anywhere outside of America Jake is going to get booed!

Jake is a big jerk / was a big jerk and will get booed everywhere.. well maybe not as much in the USA

Still he's a fairly good boxer and people didn't want to accept it. I thought he wasn't far off winning again tonight. maybe he did lose 5-3 in rounds, but Jake got a knockdown so it was 5-4. hard to score a fight with so much grappling though. not sure why Tommy wanted such a small ring

The Paul brothers might have started out as Youtubers, but they are both very hard-working and skilled athletes. JP going the distance with a real boxer (albeit not a very good one) and LP being a tremendous pro wrestler for someone who has done it very little.

the grappling was a killer for any real knock out chances. not sure why you think he is a decent boxer wisey. Fury is very limited and schooled him for 6 of the 8 rounds I think!

Spot on SMB. Both natural athletes and have shown insane levels of discipline in their training regimes (better than most pros).

yes, this is all true. doesn't stop 97% of people hating them for their YouTube stuff though

jake vs ksi will be a monster bout at the end of the year. will probably eclipse the huge money we saw bet on this bout tonight. whatever anyone says about paul, he has marketed himself with a masterclass in the boxing world.

decent boxer for someone who didn't start until like 3 years ago or something. in theory Tommy should have wiped the floor with him, but he's rubbish and arguably lost

Would KSI vs Jake be a real fight (that we can bet on) and not an exhibition?
By:
Angela Rebecchi
When: 26 Feb 23 23:56
can't remember wisey.

it's all relative with assessing their ability. as amateurs jake is very good and fury is excellent, and credit to jake for his level, but in the pro world they are severely limited, which is why paul got out boxed by a very limited pro!

100% real fight. no chance either would play games. judges could be biased to jake though, he is making big money for the industry.

How did tonight's fight do (liquidity wise) compared to previous JP fights? (I have barely bothered with those, but for this there was so much and so many arbs)

this was the biggest by quite a bit I think SMB. against KSI it could arguably be even bigger.

cool, I remember Logan vs Floyd was just exho and Betfair wouldn't put a market up. Don't know about Logan vs KSI.
