I don't think we have seen the next 5+ champion yet (that currently hasn't got one).
I feel Serena will be here another 2 years minimum (including this year - end of 16) Sharapova isn't going anywhere. Picking from the rest, doesn't fill you with confidence. Who knows, the next Serena could be just around the corner. |

The problem she has on other surfaces, especially with them slowing down the surfaces (though they sped up the courts this AO), is it makes it far easier to expose her weaknesses, ie. her movement. Because of that it makes it hard for her to win neutral rallies as players will outmanoeuvre her.

Karolina won AO

Radwanska won FO, it's now by far her worst surface as a pro.

By:
given that 15/16 year olds aren't gonna come and dominate the tour these days, wonder if it takes on added importance or will better predict success
|
|
By:
though you have Genie who came to vulture Wimbledon at 18
|
|
By:
I assume it works on same principle that stuff like schoolboy football works at like all levels. Where because people physically develop at different levels it's make them unreliable.
You will play with someone when their like 13 who is like half a foot taller than you, then come 16, they're average height. |
