no, but I imagine it to be kind of lame if you qualified, would normally be eligible for at least a nice USD6.500 cheque but have to forfeit that (beyond your expenses) to keep your NCAA eligibility.

yes, I think she's allowed to get WTA points as an amateur. Doesn't really matter though unless she plans to turn pro within a year (which is unlikely as she's only a sophomore)
