Sabine through to round 3 where she will meet Ana Ivanovic. A mouth watering prospect.

signing in for annual punishment, go Sabine!

if Ana wins this she will go deep

By:
Yes, nice to see someone smile & enjoy their sport
By:
Ana is a big favorite for Saturday's clash @ 1.54. (Sabine @ 2.82) I think this match rests on Sabine's serve which needs to improve a bit. Sabine still available @ 25s in the overall market. That price will crash if she pulls off a shock on Saturday.

don't get the love at all for her, one of my least favourite players
By:
well you suck
By:
That's ok with me
By:
Ivanovic last 6 years at Wimbledon, reached the 4th round twice, out by the 3rd round other four
Lisicki, last 4 attempts, QF-SF-QF-Final One player is 1.55..... the other 2.78. Betting all wrong here imo, Ivanovic hates Wimbledon, Lisicki's only tournament of the year |
By:
Agree Pedro. You would have to be mad to back Ana at those odds.
By:
Ana winning her 1st tournie on grass in prep, best form probably since her RG win, while Lisicki has an awful season with injuries and other problems (not to mention how mad you must be to chose Pocher as boy friend)
By:
Oh I agree she's as mad as a box of frogs, but very dangerous at Wimbledon.
By:
no doubt this match should have been scheduled on cc

Don't fret. At least it's on No1 court.

When is Lisicki supposed to be playing this match today or tomorrow?
By:
Depends on the rain situation.
By:
Definately not tomorrow but could be Monday
By:
have absolutely lumped on
By:
Lisicki's thighs....wow

By:
I know, they're awesome.
Shame the players had to come off for bad light. Still my overall bet lives on until Monday and this half of the draw is now slightly easier with Serena's exit today. |
By:
Go Sabine. Hit Ana with some bullets in that final set. Playing again tomorrow. The dream lives on.
By:
really like lisicki... cute girl bit mental always smiling... what's not to love?

By:
great final set from Lisicki, virtually unstoppable on grass when she holds it together.
Womens standard improving fast imo, any of the top half of the draw could win this, Sharapova, Bouchard, Lisicki, Halep, the Czech girl, Strycova, who knocked out Wozniacki this morning would not be a complete shock, has a good grass game. But go Sabine, would be great to see her get compensation for 2013 |
By:
Strycova would be one of the biggest shocks ever if she won wimbledon... hopefully somebody will knock out the german ball basher soon
![]() |
By:
Sabine doesn't need anyone to knock her out, can self-combust at any moment
![]() But if holds her nerve, can beat anyone on grass |
By:
Lisicki seems to play in spurts, sometimes unstoppable then eratic. Definitely a contender if keeping herself from the sudden drops in matches
By:
Sabine can beat anyone on grass but tends to get too emotional when the stakes are high. In last years final she wanted to win too much imo. She was actually in tears during the match at one point. If she can keep her emotions in check, she could win Wimbledon.
By:
Let's hope she has the same attitude in the 3rd set like yesterday

By:
Not serving like this she can't.
By:
switching to stan, cannot watch masha and fed
By:
She's struggling here, not sure she'll get through this one never mind the final.
By:
Boo hoo, Sabine looks broken.
By:
Lisicki getting a massage on the Red Button. Normally have to pay to watch this sort of thing.
By:
That's got to hurt shvedova. I doubt she'll recover mentally from that one.
By:
Be interesting to hear the interview with Lisicki how bad shoulder has been in this match, plenty double faults and timid serving sometimes
