The Queen of wimbledon manages to play through injury to victory
Think she will have to give up her serve in future matches, as its hampering her title bid. |
|
By:
20 double faults and she still finds a way to win. If she serves like that against Halep she'll be blown off court.

Did anyone see the interview with Sabine yet about injury ?

Sorry to report I've greened out due to Sabine's shoulder injury. Bottle job I'm afraid.

hope so

has she got any chance today?
|
|
By:
hopefully not, with a bit of luck she is sent packing today and no more of that fake smile

You could tell from yesterday's match that all was not ok with Lisicki. The market this morning got it dead right when she drifted out to 19s for the overall. Nevermind there's always next year.

By:
might be unseeded next year, 17-32 at best

Did the taps come on again as the inevitable approached?
![]() ELEVEN games lost on the spin - enough to make the eyes water. ![]() |

No. No tears today. I don't think she expected to win.
|
|
By:
I think she might do a Goran.
i.e. Manage a couple more runs to the final (bottling each one), making no impression on the other slams, drifting into wild card territory and finally nailing one Wimbledon just before she turns 30. |
|
By:
will never win a slam
|
|
By:
she needs a new coach to sort her head out. I would happily make myself available.....
|
|
By:
seems to be the body as well as her head

Sad capitulation. Halep was there for the taking. Lisicki seemed to be fraught with nerves, very neurotic the way she played. All it needed was a bit more patience and composure.
