PLEASE ANDREW CASTLE SHUT UP!!
|
|
By:
Didn't want to stay up this late with the last day of Cheltenham on tomorrow but anyone who has watched both of these play this week and didn't make Nadal a 1.4 shot hasn't got a clue imo - will be worth only the 4 hours sleep

Fed looks ridiculously ineffective here. It's quite sad though, in the sense this is nowhere near the level of tennis we've seen these 2 provide in the past.

it's not a practice issue. he has spent hundreds of hrs perfecting the morrillo, but on a day when his game is off, he's not going to be successful with the morrillos either.

Fed take the 2nd?
Are you mad? This hardcourt is the closest hardcourt on tour to clay. It's so slow. Fed can't hit through it - Nadal retrieves everything and can load his shots with massive high bouncing top spin which takes Fed all over the place and sets up easy point after point for Rafa. As I said it's been like this all week, Fed is not what he was anyway but on a court like this only Nadal playing a terrible game could have got him beat. It's over. |

fed cant move at all

welcome nofx. did you oversleep or have you been too busy making money on rafa?

Tbf whoever said this match was easy to read was right with regards to once it started. Lots of people in the other thread picked up nearly immediately into the match it just didn't look the sort of match Federer wins, you could see that from his very first service game.

Thing is Nadal can't even really defend that well right now, his movement is nowhere near what it was, but he doesn't even need to. Federer can't even get on the attack in rallies enough to expose the weakness in Nadal's movement.
Pretty sure if Nadal was to play Djoko right now on this surface he would be completely exposed. |
