Nadal congratulates opponents when they beat him and is humble in defeat and victory.

Until his recent decline Fed would never congratulate a lesser rank player or compliment how well they played and would always focus on how badly he played etc.

You are right on Haas jin_kazz. The one thing I would doubt with Soderling is he's literally lost everything. Can't practice, can't keep fit. It would probably take him about 3 months before he would be anywhere near a condition to play tennis on the pro circuit again. And then it's a massive grind. By the time he would get "back" he'd probably be 30.

cant disagree with what happened yesterday...but murray is happy doing that with this kind of opponent...berloq reminded me of gonzo yesterday with the hitting.....match ups thought isnt it...djokovic cant hit like that so he doesnt have to worry about that kind of match...just think murray is comfortable playing novak these days...I think he will win...

Yer you are right Harry. It's actually why I find Murray hard to get behind because we obviously always get all his matches in full here. But I personally think his early round matches at majors are the worst to watch of the top 4. The others you can normally admire for their brilliance. Murray often resorts to ridiculously passive play in the early rounds to see off the job. It's effective, but I find it boring.

Well I said before the match that he should consider just doubles at the Slams as a way of finishing his carrer with respect whilst keeping the fans happy. Couldnt watch the match but the result and your comments in this thread seem to confirm that view. Of course, he was a little unlucky to be facing Nadal in the quarters, he would usually figure to make the last 4 at least.
