But that is how you pronounce it - you don't say double ll in Spanish. So Fire would sound correct.

Also, z in Spanish is pronounced like 'th' if at the end. So 'Lopeth' (whcch is what the comm is saying) also technically correct!

Lopeth may be correct but it sound ridiculous in an English sentence

Maybe but you can't knock a guy for correct pronunciation on an incorrect pronunciation thread!

Well, if Alessandro Falla is correctly pronounced Mr. Fire on an English stream, then so be it.

I've complained about him before (to Betfair). I mean come on, there are two things above all that a commentator needs to have; good, clear, correct pronunciation and knowledge of the game - this guy has neither!!

Loved the Llodra Federer game at the Toronto, every time the commentator said the match name it sounded like a chinese version of Roger Federer.

The worst I have heard is safasova instead of safarova....I dont know exactly but I dont believe that r turns into s suddenly in any language but japanese or sth... Also being from eastern europe it very painful to hear russian names being pronounced like sha-ra-POVA not sha-RA-pova as it should be...

Also I love how in russian servers advantage "bolshe" sound like bullsh1t in english...especially when server has come from 0-40 down and goes to advantage then it really is bullsh1t :p

Maybe OT, but some comms say game when they talk of match and match when its game..
Some umpires when they should be saying 15 I hear 13 or 14.
