From what I recall, the press poll is somewhat indicative of the jury vote. Nearly everyone expects Delta to win that anyhoo. Obviously it will be an uncomfortable red through the jury reveal if she wins it easily, for those opposing her.

Where do those who think that Oz wins think she'll land on the televote?

Not really indicative of jury vote Cider. In Lifter's example Austria 6th in press poll but won the jury vote.

ESC United Matt, commenting on current Jury Final, about an hour ago talked about press corp groupthink and how he tries to stay out of it.

I said she will do a lot better in the televote than all the non Ozzie backers are anticipating. Everything is set up to wow the viewers watching at home.
I'll put her around 3-5th in the Televote.

Generally, not perfect! As I've covered, I've not followed the minutia for years, but that was my broad recollection of the press poll. Eurovision world poll more indicative of the pv. This year has again justified my approach already. How the market made Greece 4.5 as they were just performing the semi is quite the question. Reminded me of Italy and that gorilla.

My take is that her style is a decade old. It is impressive, but all we've seen the golden shower et al on xf dozens of times, and no reason to think it isn't the same across the electorate. I hate the cliches myself ha, but there's no hook or usp for me. I have her onside though going into the reveal, for obvious reasons.

Yes we've seen the golden staging, the plinths, the close ups of note perfect falsettos a hundred times on X Factor, BGT etc. And normally they are the tricks of the trade to convince the public to pick up this phone.
In a strong year it probably wouldn't win, but Finland are not a strong unbeatable opponent.

Australia wins the audience poll as well.
Smashing every metric possible at the moment. Market is reacting and will continue to react throughout the day. The question is how short will they go during the jury reveals.

Aus fav before tonight’s show? Yes very sure that’s not happening. They could go fav mid-show or voting though 100%

Momentum is everything. Oz at full charge. Finland losing steam.
Glad I got a decent Bugaria ew bet in at 50/1. Looks a decent return on 4 places.

Yeah if it's an open as we think, then Bulgaria need to be green. They should be much shorter than Romania anyway

Positions all locked in place now. Excited to see how this unfolds. Nothing on Finland whatsoever, but plenty of other irons in the fire incase they should win.
Good luck all, let's hope we all make some money tonight.

One thing to take into next year is how slow the market is. You can make good money by just reacting at a leisurely pace

Don't really think it happens, but would be interesting if we get an Aus, Israel 1st and 2nd. EBU won't want it in Aus (is that even allowed), and passing to the 2nd place (Israel) would be a disaster

I believe if Oz wins then it defaults to the runner up. If they can't or won't, presumably the next down. Or the UK will pay as usual Grin

As I wrote the other day, painting by numbers approach was getting Oz green before the jury reveal. It's a little harder to nail how much lead the market thinks she will need to have bagged by half way, but tipping odds on at some point during the jury reveal seems quite plausible to me.

At this rate she will be oods on before the jury reveals.

The other plays on the OR during the semis have worked quite well, Bulgaria 40, Ro 38, lay of Greece 4.5.

Sound of Silence went as low as 1.07 ir I think, not sure it will be that good. Plus Ukr and Isr snagging a lot of the televote points, and likely punished by the juries means it's not really a 50/50 split.

The running order of jury votes can also play a role. I don't know how true it is, but I saw some comments that the first 9 or so juries lean heavily toward Aus. It's never balance, so soemtimes you can get false readings

The "wiser" market needs to see her lead by a lot over the likes of Bulgaria, too. If the televote hitters like Bulgaria and Greece are picking up jury points then they will shorten a lot.

Yes and Israel has to be a factor. Nobody expects them to be fairly treated by the juries, but they might not need an awful lot.

It's always been a question mark whether the semi results and jury show for the final bleed into the markets. Where there's money, there's usually corruption, so it's more likely than not, at least some knowledge. Although recently some high jury scoring acts have remained a big price on the OR. The last time Oz done well it was really smelly...

Think they’ve got the odds about right, Finland too short but is a strong song. Oz strong challenge, Greece and Bulgaria  2 quirky numbers that might get them in 2nd maybe. Uk might only get points off Germany by mistake

Been on Australia heavy from 16s ranging down to 10.
Also Bulgaria EW at 50s and top 10, had a bit on Greece as well.
Dream finish tonight, Oz 1 Bulgaria 2.
