None of the audience who were going mad were doing so cos he is on the internet lol. And it wasn't due to being whipped up by the judges either.

I'll ask again. First time voters watching on Saturday. Basing their votes on the dances,,a long with the production/script. Who they voting for. George or Kaz?

Kaz got the loudest reception, and it was for a ballroom

You were asking if G's samba inspired people to vote for him (I think). Obviously yes. It did.

In a fair contest with a blank canvas, do you think George could pull anything off in a show dance to wow the viewing public the same way Kaz can?

This is what I asked

This is what I replied.

Yes. He did it on Saturday with the samba, no production help aside from appropriate music.

I can't think in a million years that himself and Alexis won't want the showdance to be huge fun. I don't think it will be serious at all. But the music they been landed with doesn't make it easy.

Here's a question Cider.
Is George, as far as you are aware using any of his social media platforms, to ask his fans to vote for him regardless of whether they are watching the show?
Cos he needs to in order to win

I don't look at social media, so can't tell you. Only links posted by others. I know he did his usual pod, and Alexis was on it, and voting was discussed. They looked as tired as Karen did on ITT the other day!

What happened? George bossed it. It's more of an observation of how draining the process is.

I think Kaz was top of the leader board pal

There's a lot of back and forth and over analysis as often happens with specials. A trap I can fall into myself lol. The equation is a very common one in this however, will the producers get the result they want. It's not really much more complicated that that. We can be reasonably sure that Karen will get all of the advantages possible. Often the producers get what they want, sometimes they can't defeat the support for their opponent. You think they will, I think there's a decent chance they won't, considering all known information at this time.

I think we can surely agree George finishes bottom of the leaderboard tomorrow night?
We also know that doesn't mean he can't win.

Only if you George he's got it sewn up regardless of what happens on the night.
I don't

Literally nobody cares about the table order in the final. Of course Kaz will get 40s, adding to the cheerleading and pimping after her dances. That will feed into the table.

The 40s with the relentless crowd applause which peters over the judges comments can be a bit of a dopamine hit. Kaz ahead on all metrics, George has an unseen level of support but nowhere near the level of Ginge.

Cider and Sharine the only ones thinking George wins.

The viewers dopamine hit leading them to vote and start believing the dance was better than it actually was. Though to a lesser extent it can irk those more wily and deter a potential undecided voter.

Not now Bob, no. I'll adjust my book on the night given SM response and a few other metrics to track George's level of hidden support (which was on another level for Ginge who didn't even need it for the W).

Matt Baker was a big turning point for me, as they made it so obvious they wanted him beat, I expected voters to see through it, and actually motivate them more. But they didn't. One had to concede then that such biased influence can impact the voting, even when it's shameless.

Specials is a lot different now of course, and the audience isn't quite as malleable.

It's no different to politics and elections. A lot of voters sadly are very low IQ and swayed by the ramping/dampening of scores/crowds etc. As you say, a fair fight, George wins. The irony now is that amongst the usual voters he would lose but using his popularity he can still win, which is a bit unfair. A very intriguing final battle ! Very different to IAC where the dye was cast well before the final, despite the ludicrous market.

Most people think George can win. If they didn't he'd be 100/1 like Amber and not 3

I think 1.5 Kaz and 3 George is about right. So I have them level for now. That may well change one way or the other between now and when the market is suspended

No where near the level of ginge

That depends on if his friends get involved or not. Ginge is more famous, but i think George is better connected to die-hard fans. For example, his very good mate, Italian Bach, would also win IAC easily.

We're putting Ginge on this pedestal, but truth is, there are quite a few of the TikTok/streaming/YouTube world who would perform similarly. They are the new a-listers

There was a short clip posted ages ago of Alexis and G doing a totally impromptu 'performance' at one of bach's live events. This was after week 1 I believe. I doubt the bbc prods were vert chuffed if they found out about it lol

It's a different world. I was pretty surprised myself of the crowd reaction when he was brought onto the pitch at Wembley. Long before scd obviously. The hard bit to judge is the crossover from this largely underground world to boomer television. IAC gave us an inkling that it is possible to be a tangible one, but scd is more oldster and harder to vote.

We don't know if it was his fans or the fact that he was the main part of every single show. I say the latter. Aitch had more fans than anybody, maybe even Ginge, he was also a large part of the final edit, yet he came 4th.

When: 18 Dec 25 13:14
It's 100% certain that the huge uplift in voting was due to Ginge being on the show. In my opinion.

But as we have eluded to. IAC is much more popular with the youngsters hence why they probably threw all their weight behind him for the win.
The only similarities with George is their area of occupation.
