Bal was nailed on for b2 and was very likely to go

Just my shade of sarcasm :) Lazy people betting on thorp's poll, I'm presuming.

Thanks guys, wonder if they are clearing a path for Karen. Who knows. It's a really strange decision to keep Bal in at this stage.

Someone on DS suggesting she fell over. But can't see Shirley saving her if she did

Depends if it was an even up the scores vote from Shirley. Was an odd decision to go with the jive after last weeks tango, didn't imagine it biting her in the arse though.

It was unanimous according to Juliet

so maybe she did fall or mess up

Thorps poll Shirley vindicated, although the judges marks
made this very likely.

There's no such thing as a tco in scd. They DO manufacture things in a big way, for production value (as they see it). For example, everyone knew LV was destined to perform at BP, whatever. They don't start the show trying to push a single runner for the win. They do want to ensure that there are capable dancers (ringers) for the final. I'm convinced they didn't want Chris last year initially, but once they know someone will be hard to beat (impossible in his case), they then try to make them look as good as possible.

I loved her waltz tonight. She's back on form. One of Karen, Alex or George will make the final. And almost certainly win
By:

When: 15 Nov 25 23:45
Ok but they have runners they don't want winner
George very much falls in that category

As said all along, Blackpool will be illuminating (pun intended). But there are already enough clues for me that they've been forced to swing behind George, so I was happy to top up.

His treatment has been disastrous. Craig tonight carrying on the theme

I tend to agree cider. They generally want the best dancers in the final. Or the best ones they can get there. Then often don't take a strong view

Surely fixed to get amber to later stages, without
having to repeatedly save her via dance off.

Sacrificing balvinder to nite with a reverse ferret
onto vicky, knowing balvinder can be sacrificed at
will in future.

No way vicky should have gone based on series so far

Unless she did make a proper hash of dance orf.

yeah right, Bobbasaurus. can't say I haven't tried :)

Of course it doesn't mean he will win, but reality shows are no longer like the phone voting era of the past. it's much more static

The thing is, the dance off has been ignored many a time to get the result they want. So she must have completely fell arse over tit.
Alex has been off the boil the last few weeks, and I've neglected her chances of winning, but she's all that I've got now so hopefully she's going to come with a decent run starting next week at Blackpool.

Bal is the last remaining 'person of colour'. It's only a stay of execution obviously, though conceivably they could let LV go over her next week. Depends on if this is set up as a farewell for LV I suppose. And it's hard to imagine Bal lighting up Blackpool.

Hopefully the stage will be set for Alex and a couples choice for next weekend

I kept telling you that Vicky was a bad fit for this audience. Waitrose shoppers don't appreciate uncouth. A dayglo dress, lumbering around to do a jive seems a somewhat fitting end :)  Alex has much more going for in that sense, but she's a glacial dancer, a ringer, and an oldster. Unlikely we'll see her flying around BP's bouncy floor. I have Karen in front of her, but Alex has a theoretical chance.
By:

When: 16 Nov 25 11:18
Oldsters can win, obviously. But in my mind it's always a higher threshold for them to pass in public votes, as the default public view is they've had their chance sort of thing. So they have to stand out as something particularly special (eg Bill, Harry). I don't see Alex in that bracket, though her connection with Johannes is endearing to the public.

When: 16 Nov 25 11:45
I would say Alex has more support that Karen, the polls often reflect this. Karen isn't strong enough in Ballroom and has a much harder set of remaining dances.
I'm still clinging onto hope that Alex is the one to upset the apple cart with regards to the 2 market leading men.
However absolutely can't rule Karen out from doing it either.

So much that polls can't measure, they are just a snapshot and retrospective, even if accurate. There's not much motivation to get Alex to win as I'd see it. Karen is far ahead on that score. People could possibly get motivated to get Alex to the final, not so much to win. Also as I've said all along, it's quite difficult to see how Amber gets legitimately eliminated in a dance off.
By:
Bobbasauras
When: 16 Nov 25 12:12
I see it differently in the sense that there is a need for an older women winning as it's never been done before, as well as getting Johannes his first win. But then after last night, what the hell do I know :/
I do have insurance against Karen but Alex is a nice Xmas win if she can pull it off
By:
Bobbasauras
When: 16 Nov 25 12:42
Also it's easy to say that about Vicky, but let's be honest she was never meant to leave last night. But if she fell over in the dance off the hand was forced. Her treatment was never anything pointing towards keeping her in for the long haul. Plus she clearly the most improved dancer from week one, and that's what the show is all about. Who knows what would have happened from here had she not have stumbled last night. Could have easily bounced her way into the final

When: 16 Nov 25 12:57
Most improved dancer at the bottom of the table. Not enough latent vote support to even get her out of the dance off, from bottom of the table.

When: 16 Nov 25 13:42
Voting is ever so tight, if the poll is accurate, and it must be quite
accurate as it works.

So vickys votes go elsewhere, and if your breakdown of her demographic
is accurate some won't return until next year, and the others might well
migrate to the likes of lav and George,

Time will tell.

I turned La Voix green when I saw he had a CC for Blackpool. Not that he's got any chance of winning but it was a very cheap cover.
By:
----you-have-to-laugh---
When: 16 Nov 25 14:16
The poll has moved around quite a bit, and will
be interesting to see if he dances well on a cc
at Blackpool if he can get close to topping the poll.

Not that we can bet on it, of course.
