usually they emerge as the year progresses. Josh Kerr having been robbed of spoty nom in 23,might have a shout. Alfee tennis might do summit in paralympics as well as other tennis. |

If he does well throughout the year he will remain in the public consciousness as the media have already committed to him, the players championship held in November so that will give him a big push if he does well or perhaps whether he does or not, broke viewing figures and Mrs.duffy wanted to watch the final and she has no interest in darts, if Susannah Reid on GMB is anything to go by, women of all ages want to mother him, she seemed smitten

I would expect if he manages to win anything this year he will be in with a chance, definitely worth a punt as there will be a newfound interest in darts following his performance in the world championship, Tyson Fury could trade low if becomes undisputed champion next month but he wants nothing to do with SPOTY whatsoever and hasn’t had the best publicity recently

It's generally not good to be dogmatic about
what bbc will or will not do, and who gets nominated Because if they want somebody to win they will do their best to help. It's very early in year, but it does seem as if Littler has his fans at bbc, and after the backlash to last years winner he would be a popular nomination. |
