Frankie favourite on retirement tour, Cav 3rd Fav, with Stokes
pressing Frankie.

Haaland not quoted, hmmm, surely he would be around 20/25.

Poor year so far.

Stokes and Murray had good moments but Murray out.

If England win ashes from here you'd think stokes great chance
Of spoty.

Eng 9.6 ashes, stokes 6 spoty. Eng 4.7 world cup.

Ashes gone, Stokes 7/1, frankie 3/1

A couple of lionesses can be laid under 30
but long way to go in world cup.

Keely hodgkinson seen a bit of interest around 25/1

OMG i cant believe what im seeing Stuart Broad says hes retiring and jumps straight to the top of the market.
How on earth can he win this when Frankie is retiring and certainly acheived more.
It gets better when you see the bets at massive odds on Broad and he waits to retire and BANG once they have snapped up the big odds he goes 6/4.
So much inside imformation people clean up on, yet the average punter gets bans and restrictions!
Does anybody agree?

frankie`s been riding winners since Broad was five months old, and has a far better claim to the `Lifetime Achievement` award, but neither should be fav for the main event, so max red, both of them.

is broad even likely to make the shortlist ? world cup for cricket to come as well for which england are 2nd favourites and he wasn't obviously the outstanding player in this series

I think there are moments in sports awards
and his 6 off last ball and wicket with last delivery
surely make him short odds to be nominated for that.

Spoty, I don't think so.

Recent history shows them going out of their way to avoid nominating people like Broad and Dettori.  I expect that to continue, but would admit there's a general lack of candidates barring rugby or cricket success.

Think earps wins whatever though, unless Stokes rears his head

Dettori not retiring, so long and thanks for all the fish backers
By:

When: 12 Oct 23 18:05
ffs what you done to earps price brushy, leave it
dettori was always a no hoper anyway
after this cricket rugby crap, is there any more sports that could effect spoty
By:

When: 12 Oct 23 18:39
Nope.  The concern would be stokes i suppose, but he's a crock. Shouldn't even be there.  The rugby teams, seems unlikely for England or Wales but i guess stranger things have happened

Yes i have been backing today but most of my bets were 19 down to 9 ish.  Amazing how long it took people to cotton on.

Rugby  ... The odds are insanely close, but England are 15 and Wales 26
Not too worried, done a lot of laying so if Biggar or whoever appears I'm green anyway.  Backed a select few like Root and Bairstow in the cricket

Cook retiring surely impacts Broad’s chances significantly?
Seems odd to favour one retired cricketer over another - Broad could go into the ‘Greatest sporting moments’ award instead.

Que? I don't think broad is getting nommed anyway. Dettori has made a nice space in the lifetime awards now.

Cook is long forgotten tbh

I was onto Earps pretty early and starting backing more heavily with the shirt business. Stokes is probably only the slightest danger
By:

Even if england cricket win couldn't see bairstow or root threatening earps. It would have to be stokes.  And he's obviously only marginally fitter than freddie flintoff

Earps ticks all the boxes for me. Agreed it would take something special from Stokes

Just seen Atherton saying he's very close to full fitness, if this was a crunch game he'd probably of been in. Break after this game and south africa at weekend where he is expected to be 100% ready.

When: 15 Oct 23 10:03
Why did you want him in ? no good for earps if he starts playing now
By:
GeorgeBrush
When: 15 Oct 23 10:15
I don't really, just laughing at what a mess they made of it. Crock invites himself to tournament after saying he was dodging it to get fit, and then doesn't play.
By:

When: 15 Oct 23 10:21
Thought he came out of retirement to be available, surely if they win cup he's a huge danger, even more so coming off the bench.
Especially on the back of being named leading cricketer in the world 2023 and breaking the record of test match 6's this year.

He has a strong support in SPOTY, seems no option but to cover at these prices.

Stopping myself from lumping on with still a massive danger lurking more like, im not risking 10k when Stokes can potter up walk past her at any given moment. Which is what i see happening
