Bride and groom jigged their way to the top table, which was laden with flickering candles and vases of white hydrangeas and avalanche roses, to the strains of Do I Love You (Indeed I Do) by Frank Wilson. "It’s an old Northern Soul track," said Kelvin. "My dad got me into Northern Soul when I was growing up and it’s become our song. Every time we hear it, we beam."

Blackpool was always likely to play out well for Anton and Emma, well once they landed the AS. I didn't feel it was anything special personally, but suited the narrative.

Looking at what Chris has left, they all look desperate for him. FT only one that looks possible to be okay.

Surprised so many thought Alex was vulnerable this week. Plenty of evidence she has a very strong pv. Same comment applies to Emma and Chris.

Absolutely delighted that the virtue-signaller got knocked out in the dance-off.  Hardly danced a step,  just flapped her arms around her face most of the time.

Best of all, we won't have to listen to a lot of bull$h!t about "empowerment", special "communities" and the laughable nonsense that her final dance was a "mission statement". LOLOLOL.

I'm betting that a lot of people are very glad she's out.

so is this though

The musical theme continued as the newlyweds took to the floor for their first dance, to The Carpenters’ We’ve Only Just Begun, singing the words to one another.

Think you've probably articulated what a lot of people are afraid to say, Alun. Don't persoanlly see the need for the nation's most popular Sat night light entertainment programme to be hijacked by an 'agenda', but that's very much the Beeb's way these days.

I'm pleased that the Judges didn't fall for any of her BS "agenda" talk. The viewers decided last week they'd had enough of her. I'm amazed they took that long.

I'd have had Alex 4th at best on the pv last night. Definitely behind Kelvin and Chris, most likely Karim too. Toss up between Emma and Alex 4th and 5th. If Saffron was bottom (entirely possible) then 6 points was enough to avoid the DO.

Michelle was a curve ball for me, how often would a runner go from 2nd in the scoreboard (8 runners) and DO to bottom of the scoreboard the following week. Plus landing CC and a brilliant song. But I'd still make the 12/1 Alex play every time. Realise it was announced Michelle wasn't touring but still feels very odd how external choreographers (apparently) choreographed something that would be guaranteed rooted to the bottom of the scoreboard.

Looking back, most of her dances were cr*p. It's clear to me they had the aim to get her to Blackpool & it was Blackpool & out - no need to over-score her any more.
