Sticking my neck out here and calling James the winner before launch night.. let's hope I dont get egg on my face!

Been backing all week between 5s and 6. LPM @ 5.7

So, why do I rate James? Despite not many of us on here knowing who he is, James actually has a large fanbase that are waiting to vote. His band, The Vamps, has 4m twitter followers, and they are already making their support known.

Even taking away his fanbase I still think he would go very close. In a camp of big egos and arguing, James will be the friendly, funny, charming lad that the viewers will grow to love. Whether his price will drift or contract over the next few days is a lottery, but 5700% is good with me.

GL all!

Not normally one for favourites but fully on board.
He comes across very well in interviews. A down to earth, well spoken, thoughtful kid. The type MEM's would like their daughters to bring home.
There are plenty of question marks over the rest of the field for me. Some very big egos who are likely to be at each others throats when the food starts to run short.
James looks the type of personality to fully embrace the experience and do well in the tasks. If so then we could see another pillar to post victory

That's fair and true. To be honest, I should have just waited, was always going to fade into the background at the start.

As has been said before, the worry is that he will be a touch dull and too serious.

Plus side is he appears to be a really nice bloke and has a fair following outside of the show.

I’ve made him a smallish green after the drift to double figures.

James willl be trading single figures again before the show is done, of that I have no doubt. Amazing value I’m very green on James, will lay off when he’s in the final 4

Laugh You could say I am committed, yes! I planned to just do a few "To win" bets and leave it. But now it's just a case of backing the clear value in the field.

Hopped off again at 16 last night (too early with hindsight).

Happy to take a quick profit and reserve the right to jump on again further down the track.

He has a fanbase, as a positive.

Almost everything else about him on the show seems to be a negative, that's the problem!

Almost every winner is humorous, James simply isn't. You appear to be another ramper like Hemsby and Armagnac.Quite simply ,

I've openly admitted that my pre-launch backing was foolish.

I'm not just trying to "ramp", I genuingly believe(d) that his price is value with who was ahead of him in the market. There is always hope that one big moment comes along, but yes, he looks to have blown it now.

I need to thank whoever backed him off the boards once the line ups were confirmed.  I'd made him pre show fave and was going to back him with the bookies.  Managed £65 on him   before I realised there was a Betfair market and it was an arb so decided not to back him again.  Next thing I know he was down to 5/1.  Nice lad, too nice really, which makes him dull and uninteresting.

More than any other show "Nice" wins when the numbers thin out. Ant [or Holly Willobooby] & Dec can usually arrange that.

I think if he had just a little bit more about him he would make the top 3.  Just don't think there's enough about him or he's done enough to entertain.  He might be the nicest camp mate but they are all nice this year really.
