`...highly skilled individuals may underestimate their relative competence...`
That bit`s aimed at me, the rest at everyone else.? Gotta be honest, here; I had been pondering my pontificating, and really did come back to this thread to say` look how, as soon as we start betting on something, we suddenly think we`re experts`. Ego cruelly pricked, though, to find my psyche so clinically and accurately torn apart. I blame that ultra-rare condition, (only ONE sufferer ever, in the entire history of medicine!); `FOTY Dethronement`. |

Movement in the market. Big $ overnight for anyone following this thread - ie mainly Tim - yesterday. Prices still off imo.

tim my train never crashed, it turned out it was a train without an an engine or wheels. i'm getting negative energy from your comment and its upsetting my balance. you've disturbed my resonance (whatever the feck that is).
i've read an article that suggests older women are heading towards out which is concerning the remain group as this group are the sort to actually turn up and were confidently exected to favour the status quo. |

Talking of trains, thanks to George for starting this thread and his OP.

It looks like leave went as low as 2.2, I'm not understanding the push back to 2.5
my estimate of the correct price for leave would be closer to 1.9 remain has fired it's guns, if they keep going in the same vain they're going to sound more and more ridiculous |

I don’t think The Sun has called a general election (79, 83, 87, 92, 97, 01, 05, 10, 15) or referendum (EEC, No to AV) wrong in four decades @DuncanWeldon Retweeted The Sun Significance of this isn't that it'll shift votes but that the Sun thinks Leave have it. Don't like back losers. It's true they like to back winners but there is also significance in their campaign clarity: Sun "To remain means being powerless to cut mass immigration which keeps wages low & puts catastrophic pressure on our schools & hospitals". |

This week's polls will be interesting. Leave has to maintain the momentum and increase lead. Lead at present probably not enough to overcome the traditional effect of the "don't knows" timidly maintaining the status quo on polling day.

Movement in the market. Big $ overnight for anyone following ;..Tim yesterday. Prices still off imo. Thanks, Henry, we try to help. Low 3s when I was posting yesterday, pretty much halved in price overnight, down to 2.2. Also, the `Remain 40%-45%` plunged in price. Don`t know how low it went, but I laid down to 7.2; it had been 50% higher when I was posting, just hours before. Nevertheless, Mr Dunning in his hi-vis jacket, and Mr Kruger in his black cab feel this is worthy of abuse! With which, I reach new high prices for FOTY 2016... |

When you`ve been getting Specials right for 11 years, you`re probably entitled to become confident in your abilities. Don`t mind being thought of as `snotty` or `conceited`, so long as my `available funds` figure confirms my beliefs.
I was quite intrigued by the Dunning-Kruger thing, went to read more. May I ask where you heard about it? I know you were putting me in the 90%(?) but, all things considered, I have to disagree; taking my life as a whole, (and my bf career!) I`m claiming a spot in the 10%. But I suppose that even by saying that, you will take as further evidence that I`m still in with the 90%! |

I was only joking with you Tim, though the theory can be applied to some

Survation, 13% remain undecided, when pushed for a answer they broke 7 to 6 in favour of remain, so it would be false to put most undecided down as breaking for remain.

Leave haven't really maintained the momentum as far as I can see. They've leveled off with a smallish lead.
|
|
By:
it was unlikely the leave vote was going to continue upwards indefinitely. however recent polls all showing similar figures shows a degree of confidence in the polls.
|
|
By:
we don't know if momentum as slowed or leveled off until the next set of polls, nothing in previous polls seems to point to a slowing of momentum,
|
|
By:
Of course the murder of a MP and the suspension of campaigning for two days will likely lead to a pause in the zeitgeist
