I've never heard of Brownlee and I must have missed this huge emotional event. Mind you I didn't watch that much of the Olympics (only Bolt and a few other high profile events). Don't think I'm alone either. Murray should be safe as houses but SPOTY has thrown us a curveball before (Zara Phillips - ouch, still hurts even now ) so you never know.

Think Brownlee is getting some expert advice on winning this thing. Froome fans seem to be warming to him. The biggest hurdle for Murray is the large amount of anti-Murray resentment.

Nick Skelton a cert for top 3, evens on sportsbook and 1.9 exchange. All horse world will vote as will older people who used to watch show jumping when it was on terrestial telly a lot and Skelton dates to that era. Horsey people have a very good record in this. Bale and Vardy will dilute each other between the footy vote.
