Can`t wait for my first max red of BGT. Those two boys at anywhere near that 13/8? UBER max red time!
Watching the ever-more useful Gogglebox, it`s clear that the voters have finally cottoned on to the overuse of the sob stories. I don`t believe he wrote that song, I don`t believe he was bullied. Fat, ugly, bespectacled gingers get bullied, he`s none of those. I think it`s all contrived, and written, by the parents, who have worked out how to play the game that is BGT. Any significant red will, of course, be the cause of much squeakiness. Cowell will be throwing everything he can at them, in order to satisfy his ego after having Golden Buzzered them. |

Forgot to add a crucial few words, should read:
`by the parents, who have worked out how to play the game that is BGT.`But a year or two too late! Anyway, since when did white rappers ever win anything? |

By:
kid did seem a bit bashful about admitting he'd been bullied ages ago.
Thing is if they're saying name calling is bullying, you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who hasn't experienced it to some degree. |

Is that all the `bullying` consisted of? A bit of name-calling? FFS!
As soon as he mentioned the word `bullying` I tuned out, not hearing, or caring, what he went on to say. |

I'm also sure his line about Alesha being his inspiration was written by the producers Correct. I`d forgotten that bit. Sickeningly obvious, they`ve overplayed their hand already. |

By:
It's so staged now is there anything close to genuine left? I seriously get the impression that the audience are heavily coached, eg for the tumbleweed moments.

tbf IDK what his bullying consisted of but he did seem pretty bashful when questioned about it by SCowell.

No doubt at all, Cider.
For years, we Specialists have laughed at, and profited from, the gullibility of the voters. They have finally rumbled the sob stories, but that`s only on page 1 of the Dark Arts handbook... |

15.47 was tongue in cheek!
The public has had their fill of sob stories for sure, hence falling ratings. The problem with these shows is if you strip them and the novelty away the bare bones are not entertaining. |

Britain's Got Talent chiefs have decided to pre-record a motorbike daredevil act for the semi-final because their stunts are too complex to film live.
Show bosses have taken the unprecedented step of filming BoldDog FMX, who were seen jumping over ramps outside the studios during their first audition, in advance of the semi-final show. It is said to be the first time a semi-final act has been pre-recorded for the show, featuring Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and David Walliams as judges. |

In case anyone doesn't know...The live semis start on Bank Holiday Monday 26th, then on Tues, Weds, Thurs, but not Friday as ITV are showing England v Peru, so I guess the last semi will be on Saturday with the final the following Saturday (7th June), as this is what they did last year.

Live show semi-finals 1,2,3 and 4. After thousands applied and hundreds auditioned for the judges, the search reaches the live semi-finals. The final 45 acts now perform live in the hope of impressing the judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams, as well as winning the all-important public vote. Stripped across the week the live semi-finals start on Monday and each night award winning duo Ant and Dec welcome nine acts to the stage to perform for a chance of winning a life changing £250,000 and a spot at this year’s Royal Variety Performance. While the judges will be on hand to offer their opinions, the viewing public will vote for their favourite and the act with the highest number of public votes automatically goes through to the live grand final. The two runner-up acts will then face the judges who will pick their favourite to go through to the live shows. Week 22: (Saturday 24 - Friday 30 May) Monday 26 May: 7.30pm - 9pm: Semi-final Live 1. (Results show: 9.30pm - 10pm) Tuesday 27 May: 7.30pm - 9pm: Semi-final Live 2. (Results show: 9.30pm - 10pm) Wednesday 28 May: 7.30pm - 9pm: Semi-final Live 3. (Results show: 9.30pm - 10pm) Thursday 29 May: 7.30pm - 9pm: Semi-final Live 4. (Results show: 9.30pm - 10pm) Friday 30 May: [No show - England v Peru International friendly] Is it Tuesday yet ![]() |

Simon Cowell Q&A
Do ‘back stories’ actually put you off contestants before they audition these days? I’m put off when it becomes more important than their talent and I hate it when people are actually revelling in their back stories. In fact, they actually rehearse their back stories more than their audition. Sometimes they don’t even have an audition they just come with a back story and can’t actually do anything. ![]() |
