indeed Hems

and listening to all the TB stuff this morning one can't help but feel what a different breed politicians were from that era.

These days most of them all seem interchangeable.

They even look like they've come out of a box.

I can see Deep Trouble taking to this today. Obviously a tricky horse. The Walsh horse as well so one at both ends of the market for me.

Infuriates me with politicians of today.Scared to death to actually say what they think,they're like robots toeing their respective parties line.Most are career politicians with no experience of real life.....good education,university degree,a couple of years as a "researcher" or similar bollox and then straight into politics.Zero business acumen,and very little,if any experience of a life 90% of the population live.
I much prefer to listen to someone (even if I disagree politically with them) who speaks passionately and honestly.

Politics is 99% down to getting elected and immediately thinking about re-election. I don't know how we get away from that. Someone like Portillo is a great example, released from the party shackles I find myself agreeing with most of his views and if not he still presents a balanced case. But to have any sort of influential power now you have to tow the party line which is basically spin. I suspect the future for this country is exceptionally bleak btw and nobody will be able to do much about that. 'We' are eventually going to have to pay the price for all of this printing of money!

Bob's is a bit of a star and most likely winner but he can only go to that well so many times. Think I will take him on at the prices but unsure with what yet.

4.40 = a really horrible race.

I like the Pipe runner but they're always too short in this.

I'll go for Don Poli as the one with most potential/may have a bit more class than most of these.

I've backed a five in the 1st race, to take advantage of offers
with such big fields I'm going to struggle picking much today,
the 15.20 is the only one where I will bother reading the formCrazy feeling lazy today

much preferred the old card before we had these two races as the last two on the card.

Always an excuse for lazy pundits to bang out the old cliches about how David Pipe/Nicky Henderson would love to win it Angry

I've given Nicholls the swerve for this meeting but can't miss Shooters hill at the price.

Forgot to say Ferguson had tipped his Prince Siegfied in the AB at 66/1, although saying that he has tipped up all over his runners, most of whom have run like they're wearing clogs.
